Death in June - But, what ends when the symbols shatter?

Particularly "Hollows of Devotion". I have no words for how great this album is.

Adorior: Author of Incest

some straight up awesome sounding Angelcorpse worship. Highly recommended.

Crone - Crone

Brand new doom band out of Oz featuring Mandy Cattleprod from Murkrat on bass/vocals. This is sort of like slowed-down epic doom in the Candlemass tradition, mixed with funeral doom in some of the riffing and especially the ethereal keys. Great stuff.

Folkvang/Pagan Hellfire - Firmament Eclipse

Good split but Folkvang's side is way better. I can't wait to get my hands on the new album (Folkvang's)

Argentum - Mortuus Infradaemoni

Ancient, by far forgotten doom/black that rules. The lack of variety really gets annoying after a while though. With music such as this some amount of proper flow thorought the album would be nice.

Elderwind - The Magic of Nature

Atmospheric black metal, kinda like Vinterriket meets Evilfeast

Morgion - In Ashen Tears (Thus I Cry)

From their "Among Majestic Ruin" album, a very solid Death/Doom release and still one of my favorites in this genre

Behemoth - "Cursed Angel of Doom"

Wow, Endless Damnation is pretty rusty. Even on vinyl.

Watain - The Wild Hunt (2013)

Knokkelklang- Ned I Den Torstende Jorden

I don't know why this is good. It has like 3 riffs, super bassy production for DSBM, lasts 20 minutes, the drums are mixed so low and do so little they might as well not be there etc. Yet it rules, the atmosphere just works.

Deathwomb Catechesis by Pseudogod

This album to me sounds like Onward To Golgotha (Incantation) and Nightwing (Marduk) had a baby

Therion - Dawn of Perishness, off Symphony Masses: Ho Drakon Ho Megas

Hmmmm. The melodies and riffing are better and sharper than I remember. Christofer is far from being a gifted vocalist though, and it shows.

Yeah, its a strangely good release.

Np : Tyrant Goatgaldrakona - Horns In The Dark

Good doomy Death Metal. I wish it had more riffs though

Torture Division - The Sacrifice

More of the same from TD, but it's pretty damn good death metal.

The Chasm - Farseeing the Paranormal Abysm

Classic! One of my all time favourites.
I love those tremolo riffs that wouldn't sound out of place in a Black Metal album

Promisqes: Gehenna

Very underrated gem. Mainly written off since it was all pretty females aside from the drummer.

The Sins of Thy Beloved - Lake of Sorrow

Horribly underrated gothic metal from the late 90s. Cheesey? Yes! Over-the-top? Yes! Fantastic songwriting, and epic implementation of the violin.

Ævangelist - Omniquity

22 minutes of nightmare music. In a good way.

Virgin Steele - Emalaith

Majestic and romantic. Especially the final chorus carries such intensity and emotion in it that I can't help but get sucked into this song. Not to mention this is one of David's best vocal performances too. Excellent.

Mystifier - Wicca (1992)

Cult Brazilian black metal that pisses all over most of today's stuff. Evil, occult thrashy goodness.

Therion - The Falling Stone

The song that got me into Therion. That solo section is just nuts.

Sarinvomit - Penetration of Infernal Phosgene

Pretty sick blackened thrash metal. Want to pick up the demo cassette really bad.

Eternium - Repelling a Solar Giant (2013)

First listen to this album and I'm liking it's mix of Symphonic/Black/Death with nice melody woven into the concept.

Powerwolf - Blood of the Saints

Disregarding the cheesiness, this guy's voice is simply amazing and I would one day like to sing like this in my own music.... Mind you my music is not this cheesy, at least I hope haha.

Therion - Helheim

What I've learned from this: the Norse myth was so much cooler than the Christian one or most other ones that have survived to the modern day.
