Just pre-ordered I Killed the Prom Queen - Beloved

Honestly, I'm really looking forward to this. I've listened to Music for the Recently Deceased many times over the last seven years and I've always loved how they didn't spam breakdowns, had decent harsh and clean vocals, but most of all the catchy melodies they had laid on top of almost everything. I enjoyed the first song they had posted and while the second one was a little too reliant on chugs I'm still really looking forward to this album.

Just picked up Sepultura - Beneath the Remains and Kekal - The Habbit of Fire from HPB Bloomingdale. For all my local metal peeps out there they have a great selection today get there if you've got extra cash. Ohh btw I saw an original pressing of De Mysteriis from Century Black sitting in there.

Didn't see Mayhem there, but they put the copies of Leprosy and the first Danzig LP on hold for me until Thursday, which is their 20% off sale. It was nice of them to let me do that.

Went to the record store today:

I knew the Corrupted album was mine as soon as I saw it. I've enjoyed Rotten Sound's earlier stuff and figured for $6 why not?

That Inquisition album is pretty awesome. I need to check out the Anhedonist full-length though, their demo is awesome, so I hope the full-length lives up to it.

I was at Walmart today looking through the $5 bins and ended up buying a bunch of NOS Black Sabbath CD's.

I already owned some of these albums, but not on CD, or not these particular CD pressings (the ones I found being mainly early-mid 90's Warner Bros. pressings), so I thought I would splurge:

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath - Paranoid
Black Sabbath - Vol 4
Black Sabbath - Mob Rules
Black Sabbath feat. Tony Iommi - Seventh Star (The only album in this bunch that I've never heard. I've not read good things about it previously, but I'm still curious to hear it).

Also:

Rush - 2112 (Remaster, from '97 I think)
A really cheap looking "Weird" Al comp with only 10 songs
Prince &tR - Music From Purple Rain (hilarious movie)

If memory serves...

Angelcorpse - Exterminate (I've long thought Angelcorpse are overrated, but was told for years how great this album is. It was all true. Killer stuff. The others don't do much for me though.)
Antediluvian / Temple Nightside - Cogitating Vacuous (2nd press clear vinyl)
Dishammer - Vintage Addiction
Dismember - Massive Killing Capacity (reissue)
Impiety - Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny (grey LP)
Inquisition - Obscure Verses for the Multiverse (CD boxset and tape)
Merciless - The Awakening (reissue)
Midnight Odyssey - Firmament (reissue)
Nekromantheon - Rise, Vulcan Spectre (CD version now)
Pseudogod - Deathwomb Catchesis
Ripping Corpse - Dreaming with the Dead

Ordered a few things as well.

Just ordered the following with a gift card:

Cannibal Corpse - Tomb of the Mutilated
Death - Leprosy

Two classics I wound up selling about three years ago when I found out my girlfriend was pregnant. Starting to fill the gaps back in.

Judas Priest - Jugulator I guess this album gets a bad rap, based on what little I've heard other people say. I really like Cathedral Spires and bough it solely for that song. Hop the rest of the album turns out well.

In Solitude - Sister Got stoked about it when Metantoine made a thread about it, but wound up never getting around to it. It's finally time.

Hail Spirit Noir - Pnuema
Time to start branching out and getting into some more obscure/unique stuff. If you look at my collection, you'll notice I pretty much just listen to the usual suspects. Never had time to dive much deeper. Heard these guys a few months ago and loved it.

Hour of Penance - Disturbance

I actually bid on this and all the rest of their albums I didn't have. Didn't win any of them, found this one for buy it now for cheaper than what the original one I bid on went for.
