Interested to hear your thoughts on the Sigh, Nap.

As for me:
Thy Catafalque - Rengeteg
Thy Catafalque - Roka Haska Radio
Septic Flesh - Ophidian Wheel (Season of Mist re-release)
Solefald - Neonism

TC is pretty good; sort of like an Eastern European Solefald. As for that band, I've had Neonism downloaded (via emusic, way back in the day) for a while but figured it was high time I get a physical copy since it's only my favorite album ever and all that.

Orders from HHR and Moribund Cult in:

HHR:
Absu - Baratrum - V.I.T.R.I.O.L.
Absu - The Sun of Tiphareth
Absu - The Third Storm of Cythraul

Very excited to get those.

Moribund Cult:
Arghoslent - Galloping Through the Battlegrounds
Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm
Sargeist - Let the Devil In
Satan's Host - Virgin Sails

I was only going to order the new Satan's Host CD, but they were having a sale so I picked up a few other things I've been wanting. Some very solid music overall, I think!

Black Flag-What The...

Despite the critical drubbing this has received, I actually dig it a good deal. It's not too far removed from something like In My Head, but quirky and bizarre in its own way-especially the use of the theremin. I think people are expecting Damaged 2.0, which is an utter fallacy-they haven't done Damaged since Damaged. Ginn is totally unhinged here and Reyes is furious. Yes, the cover art is in fact hideous, but I feel this is worthy of the Black Flag canon.

Hey thanks for the heads up man, I've never actually heard Satan's Host but all signs point to me digging 'em.

Great choices on Arghoslent by the way, you should have grabbed the demo compilation! Their really melodic moments have an extra punch when they bubble up out of a morass of 4-tracker demo production.

I might end up doing that, seeing as there's an entirely new sale already (I made my purchase Thanksgiving weekend)! Thanks for the recommendation!

This underground jewel came in some days ago. I have to say that it was really difficult finding it.

Love that album cover.

I got Proclamation - Messiah Of Darkness And Impurity in the mail yesterday from Germany by way of an Ebay purchase
Actually I got 3 Proclamation CDs from the same seller because his highest bidder piked out, had to pay the damn shipping twice which irked me greatly, meh!
No photo, I added scans to the Discogs page though.

No pictures or anything, but I recently picked up the following:

7":
Ponx Attax/Bad Engrish split

LPs:
Enforcer - Death By Fire
Grim Reaper - See You In Hell (original, used)
Judas Priest - Ram It Down (original, used)
Discharge - Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing (clear vinyl repress on Havoc)
Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane (Picture LP repress)
Iron Chic - The Constant One (fucking awesome pop punk in the vein of Jawbreaker and Off With Their Heads)

I am HYPED. AS. FUCK. to finally get SOFLB on vinyl, and have been waiting for a repress for what feels like ages.

Usually not a fan of soundtracks but I just picked up the Gummo soundtrack. There is some filthy shit on there.

I owned a bunch of albums of artists on the soundtrack for years prior, but it's a nice compilation.

Last actual album I got was Deafheaven 'Sunbather.' I know its unpopular here at metal-archives, but I love this album.

The Gummo soundtrack is wicked! I remember watching the movie years ago and thinking "wtf, is that Mortician?!"  :headbang:

the best part of that movie is the soundtrack hell I think it's the only reason a lot of people claim to have enjoyed it.

Harmony Korine's movie after Gummo, Julien Donkey Boy, is infinitely more deranged, and features the guy who volcanically shit the bed in Trainspotting playing a schizophrenic who has a gasmask-endowed Werner Herzog for a dad and Chloe Sevigny for the sister he

impregnates and from whom he later steals a stillborn fetus.
Do I recommend it? What sorts of drugs do you have access to?

I didn't think Gummo was deranged.. I thought it was unremarkably boring as a documentary on white trash. Basically i was seeing shit that I've seen on a daily basis anyway.

But yea... don't do drugs. So if that's something I would need to watch or listen to anything... then it's not worth bothering with.

The soundtrack is wayyy more entertaining than the movie. I was bored by it, plus I don't like cat killing.

I certainly thought it was worth the watch, definitely had a beer next to me the whole time and help from my plant allies. If anything worth watching just for the great soundtrack, I mean what other films can compare?

Still on a non-shitty metalcore kick lately:

Arma Angelus - Grave end of the Shovel (this one is a bit shitty actually)
Starkweather - Into the Wire (absolutely love these guys, for some reason never owned this cd)
Integrity - HookedLungStolenBreathCunt (early Integrity was great stuff)
Liar - Invictus (great album chunky thrashy metalcore)
Kickback - Forever War (been after this for ages)

Indeed, although I have a soft spot for Feast Of Anger/Joy Of Despair. It has such an epic sound that one! ;)
