I'm looking for music with constant harmonics. I don't care if the harmonics are natural or artificial (pinch). All genres welcome. I already know and love Malignancy and doubt they can be bested within their genre, but what about black/doom/power/etc.?

Does that include non-metal genres? Clean, natural harmonics are often used in prog and psychedelia, for that clear ringing atmospheric sound.

Crow (UK)

If I can think of any more examples, I'll post them later. Crow used to play a track that was entirely composed of natural harmonics, but they never recorded it unfortunately.

By no means constant but Iniquity always abused pinch harmonics nicely, plus they generally kick arse anyway.

Gonna be shameless and rec my own band, but to be fair this song does use a lot of sweep harmonics, if that's what you call em. Inspired right out of Zyklon's book, though Grave has used it a on several occasions in their more recent output, check out the songs In Hindsight and Flesh Epistle.

Thanks for the recs. Apologies for taking so long to respond. In the interim it occurred to me that Godflesh and Danzig have many good examples of frequent harmonics use.

Grimbeard: I've never really liked Emperor, but I listened to Prometheus and heard at least a few riffs that used pitch harmonics exclusively, which is just what I was looking for. Thanks.

Balbalus: Given the specificity of my request, feel free to mention any genre. Psych and prog aren't exactly my thing but I'll give anything a shot.

Hayisforhorses: I know and like Iniquity, and they are indeed a good suggestion.

somefella: I liked your track, and will try to listen to Grave soon.

This may be a very obvious song, but the first time I heard harmonics constitute a major part of main metal riff was Iron Maiden's Killers. It remains a timeless riff to this day.

Yeah that's a riff any other band just can't replicate.
Any band can make a Aces High or The Trooper kind of riff sound good on their own, but the Killers thing is just way too unique to do one more time. At least I think so, and haven't heard another band do it :)

Latest Katalepsy release 'Autopsychosis' utilizes a lot of harmonics to add melody to the riffs. Pretty good CD as well if your into Brutal Death Metal/Slam
