What are some online stores with a good selection of shirts that are in North America? I live in butt fuck nowhere and rarely make the trek into the city to see bands play (since they rarely come through - don't blame them) - so ordering online is crucial.

I've used allthatisheavy and kreation - I'm just looking for a few more I can use. Thanks!

SFM Distro or Skull Fucking Metal Distro out of Canada. got ripped off twice by this guy. He sells bootlegs on eBay, and I'm not sure if he's the one making them himself, or if he got dumped with a ton of them. Who knows. http://skullfuckingmetal.blogspot.com/

We sent a wholesale pre-order inquiry for the Deathtrip LP early last November. The label responded within one hour and we sent the payment the next day. The LP has been out for about five weeks now, they haven't arrived and the label hasn't responded to our last two emails, the most recent attempt being over two weeks ago. I wrote him an unrelated order inquiry from a different email address and he responded within one hour...

The order was for 5x copies of the regular edition and 1x copy of the special. Total loss, 84 Euros.

Anyone else who dealt with Demonhood Productions? I found it odd that their webstore asks for a Paypal payment before even taking your address. I really want that Vetter album but this seems incredibly fishy.

Paypal supply a shipping address too, maybe it's to save time/paperwork etc

Also try contacting big cartel http://help.bigcartel.com/customer/portal/emails/new

I guessed as much, but still. invinCIBility's story is actually my bigger concern though. The Paypal thing just made me suspicious.

In regards to Skull Fucking Metal/Keegan Irvine (out of Canada) - this guy is the absolute WORST, and I actually don't know anyone that has ever received their order from him. As stated above, someone was ripped off twice by this bozo, and I can claim the same: I ordered his "specialty CDrs", which as said above, are bootlegs of bands' demos/discographies/etc. basically, just hard to find stuff or stuff not on CD. I ordered over $55 worth of these in April 2013 - this Keegan Irvine guy then strung me along with every possible excuse for over 2 months (been sick, out of town, and even having to go buy more CDrs!), or at least until I could no longer claim a refund via PayPal. He stated that my package must have been lost in the mail...but he would be willing to re-send again, as long as I paid a registered mail fee ($10) so that it didn't happen again. Well, here it is, October of 2013, and I've never received anything and my e-mails also go unanswered.

Besides me and the above, who else has been ripped off by this jerk-off? I first saw him "advertise" via Dark Descent's forum, so I've already contacted Matt of DD to let him know about this.

After 13 years + of running SFM Distro I hardly doubt I am going to start ripping people off now! Your replacement package will be shipped after you get back to me on your alternative CDR. Thanks for your patience.

Yes, exactly. Ordered and paid for a CD 22 days ago, still no shipping confirmation, neither any kind of replies.

22 days with no response to an email? ideally your parcel would have arrived by now.

They are in Poland and you are in Italy, maybe they ran out of stock?
http://www.pagan-records.com/webshop/shoper5/pl/i/KONTAKT/20

I just emailed them now...

I don't know. It's odd.

Have you paid with PayPal?

Anybody know of a reliable US distro with a good selection of death metal hoodies (preferably zip-up)?

In theory, I'm glad that a distro like CDInzane exists. Power/prog imports can be much harder to come by in North America than more extreme subgenres, so it's good that this Minneapolis-based distro specializes in melodic metal goodies that might not be so easy to get on this continent without importing.

But they really need to run a tighter ship. Out of the 12 orders that I have on file in my history there over the past few years, eight orders took anywhere between a week and a half, to two weeks, to two and a half weeks just to ship out of their distro. (All for items that were supposedly in-stock at the moment of payment.) The most recent order, which is still on its way here, I used registered priority shipping (which was hellishly expensive, but I felt it necessary because the last thing I ordered from them took like five weeks after shipping to get here and I had feared it lost) and they still just kept the item lying around for two full weeks without shipping it.

Once in a blue moon I'll have emailed them (with that order that took a month and a half to arrive, the USPS tracking # didn't work so I asked for clarification), but they've never responded to anything I said. Inattentive customer service is a gargantuan no-no for me with distros: to err is human, and inevitably an order or two will screw up down the line, so the buyer needs to know that the seller will be there for them if things do go sideways.

I've gotten a lot of rare and awesome releases from CDInzane, so it's a shame to tear into the distro like this, but if I'm paying near of forty dollars for registered priority shipping I rightly expect you not to just leave my order sitting in the warehouse for two fucking weeks.

Right, I'm good now. :-P

Edit once it arrived: and apparently there were 32 dollars' worth of on-delivery fees that I was not informed of beforehand. Probably would have been better off just importing from overseas.

Very highly recommended: Blood Music

http://www.blood-music.com/

This label is constantly putting out deluxe and limited releases on vinyl. They've also been doing CD releases here and there.

Fantastic customer service...they are always in contact by email and their Facebook page is updated daily. They are very loyal to their fans as well - they just actually sent out a whole load of stuff to their biggest supporters.

They have shipping operations in Europe and the United States. I believe their US branch handles North American orders and the Europe center handles the orders for the rest of the world. I recently received my order of Ne Obliviscaris vinyls from them. They were packed very securely, and the jackets and sleeves look pristine. The releases themselves are incredible...totally worth the money and wait (3+ months).

They also offer benefits for supporting members.

Almost a month ago I asked about Werewolf Promotion, which is based in Poland. I got my order today, which confirms what most people told me: good but slow. If you've got the patience--and you don't need much--they're pretty good.

Thanks to everyone who answered my initial inquiry about WP

Very unpleasant experience with "Legion of Death Records".
I was waiting five weeks for my order, after which nothing came I asked how we can work this out. I got the answer that I had a bad luck and that he can't do anything about this.
After my proposal for refund he start a insult me, behave very unpleasant, and treat me like I'm some, low IQ, idiot. I have over 500 orders around the world, also trade with music worldwide, and I've never encountered such behavior.
I was paid via PayPal, so, of course, he had no choice than give me a refund, but still, a very bad experience.

Be warned.

This is a review of Blackened Moon, a webstore run by a fellow named Chas Schoals out of Lansing, MI. http://www.blackenedmoon.com

Most of the cds on this site were listed with pressing information which I like very much. So I picked out Avenger - Fall of Devotion, Wrath and Blasphemy (listed as 1999 Breath of Night) and Bethlehem - Dark Metal (listed as 1994 Adicopere). $10 each so I was pretty stoked.

Unfortunately my excitement quickly dwindled when I opened the package. I got two cheap reissues - Avenger on Deathgasm and Bethlehem on Red Stream. Both of these are very common and if I had wanted them I could have easily bought them on ebay for half what I paid.

I emailed Chas about this and asked about refunds or if there is anything he can do to make it up. I will update this review when/if he responds.

Besides this I did get the cds in a timely manner and he did respond to one of the two questions I had asked before the order. Unfortunately the question he didn't respond to was regarding the pressing info for the two cds I had ordered. I decided to take a chance on them anyway which turned out to be a bad plan.

update:
He did respond and apologized and offered to look for the correct copies or I could just return them for a refund. After a couple weeks I emailed him back and he said he couldn't locate them. I sent them back and he did give me a refund as promised. He was really nice about it, refund was quick and he offered to hook me up big if I ever needed anything else.

So all in all, Chas is a good guy and was honest and in the end that is all that really matters - at least problems will be resolved. Hopefully he will pay more attention to pressing info in the future. If you're going to include pressing info in your listings it should at least be accurate. I would email him first to confirm press info. Just be patient for the reply, it's not always quick.

That's terrible and very unprofessional, hopefully they change their ways!

I'm not sure if he intentionally listed them incorrectly to bump up sales or if he is just not intelligent enough to know how to list cds properly but if you are at all concerned about pressing I would avoid blackenedmoon.com.

UGGH! this is a pet hate of mine, it happens all the time too, then we have the added hassle of trying to return or resell the items or get a refund etc
Keep us updated man, hopefully the guy does the right thing.

Almost a month ago I asked about Werewolf Promotion, which is based in Poland. I got my order today, which confirms what most people told me: good but slow. If you've got the patience--and you don't need much--they're pretty good.

Thanks to everyone who answered my initial inquiry about WP

Yeah I heard they are slow, but I got my order in about two weeks, which was faster than I expected.

Has anyone experiences with "I, Voidhanger Records" from Italy? I've heard Italian postal service is very unreliable. Is that so?

Italian post is slooow... But depending on who's sending it it's often reliable, at least from my experience. You can always pay a bit more for registered mail and be done with it. ;)
