I haven't listened to 'Pale Folklore' in ages. I still really like it. The only thing that detracts from it are the female vocals, because her style doesn't fit the music; she's way too operatic.

I'm investigating Black Doom metal, so yeah, I've beed hearing lot's of stuff. I like this one, but I will need to listen to it a couple of time to read into the music.

Opeth - Closure (Extended live version)

I like to call this song "nutjob prog music", because that's what it is. A nine minute long fusion tune that just goes insane near the end.

They did, in fact, play new stuff but I never could really get into this band anyway.
I enjoyed Negura Bunget's short set and new stuff (this trumpet!).
Twilight of the Gods is a fucking joke.

Hmmmm, fairly impressive prog metal, with charismatic vocals to boot. Not bad at all.

Elffor-Heriotz Sustraiak

Somew awesome atmospheric and dark bm for this typical Basque rainy day.

They'd have been really good on an entirely different lineup - they didn't fit very well on the tour, and the crowd really made sure they knew it - it was a bit sad really, you could tell Alan Averill was getting pretty frustrated that the crowd weren't taking to it very well.

NP: Vader - Come and See my Sacrifice

One of my favorite Vader tracks; definitely a good summary of the bands foot-stomping aggression and intensity.

Ehh, I think it's slightly better than Wildhoney. It flows better than that album does and is way more consistent. Wildhoney has a cool music style but wasn't as developed as it could have been.

NP: Nightfall - Aye Azure

Unique, Arabian melodic death/black metal with blazing tremolo picking riffs and a odd songwriting style. Pretty decent so far.

Sonata Arctica - San Sebastian

Fast, catchy(as FUCK), great lyrics which alot of people can relate to...

I was thinking the same while I was watching them and seing his face.
Imagine yourself in a somewhat embarrassing project and having to tour for it with that crowd reaction show by show.

Argus - By Endurance We Conquer

The new Argus album has been giving me a good kick in the ass. It's like a mixture of Iron Maiden harmonies, Dio's vocals, and Black Sabbath's riffs; proper heavy metal! This first song has given me goosebumps after repeated listens.

I thoroughly enjoyed it too. Not quite as catchy as its predecessor, but still highly recommended.

I still find the new album too filler-y/directionless, but it's also still TRoB. Epic way to start the day.

Cradle of Filth - Haunted Shores

Just about the most vicious song they've ever done aside from The Rape and Ruin of Angels.

Myrkr - The Awakening of the Shadow

Excellent Irish black metal dripping with icy malice. The heavily echoed/reverb vocals are outstanding, as is the c..c..cold as fuck riffs. Very, very black indeed.
