Very nice track featuring Greg Chandler of Esoteric.

Blut Aus Nord - Epitome 2. Perfect soundtrack to this bleak and miserable day. I always considered the 777 trilogoy to be my least favorite of BaN's works, but now that i'm revisiting I think I have a change of heart.

I REALLY like Sects!

Astral Path to Supreme Majesties from (2010) Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm.
This album kicks ass! And vocals remind me of Abbath!

Slayer - Hell Awaits

This is the worst metal band I've ever heard, don't know why I'm wasting my time on them.

;)

If you're in the mood for some epic black powered by Tolkien then you better give this 2013 release a listen. Lots of melodies and samples in the vein of Stronghold and LMHSYF, good vocals, excellent production. Perfect for November 1.

Awesome, rarely hear anyone mention this! It's a really neat album, Summoning worship that also shows its own direction and application of talent. The first track and the whole closing few tracks are just killer, with an intriguing journey inbetween.

NP - King Diamond - The Eye Definitely one of my favorite King releases apart from the obvious mentions. I only wish it didn't fall off so hard on the last two tracks. The whole album builds so nicely, then after two kickass pieces in "The Meetings" and "Insanity" it just kind of nosedives for the conclusion. :(

Running Wild - "The War" from Rogues en Vogue

One of the best post-Rivalry RW songs. Stupid weird production on this album.

Anti-Depressive Delivery - Chain Of Foods

A damn solid album. Love it from beginning to end. One of the best modern prog rock albums I've heard (because it sounds like it could have come out of the 70s).

Einstürzende Neubauten - Yü-Gung (Fütter Mein Ego)

There is something about the savage nature of this kind of industrial that is both irritating and intriguing.

Gentle Giant - Gentle Giant

I don't know what it is. I just 'feel' the prog rock sounds more lately.

Cobalt : Gin

Meh. Not convinced. People seem to be very enthusiastic about this album but I just don't see it. Eater Of Birds is pretty cool, very dynamic and the interludes are among the best I've heard. Gin on the other hand just doesn't seem as well-wrought. But maybe it's a grower.

^^Puke are great indeed.

NP: Deep Purple - Machine Head

Classic album, just gettin' my groove on.

Queued:

Angel Witch - Loser EP

Never met anyone who was legitimately a metal fan who didn't like Angel Witch. This is some less-appreciated material of their 'classic' era.

Nihilist - Nihilist

Left Hand Path is the best Swedeath album and hearing filthier versions of those tracks is always a delight.

Mekhago NT/Religious as Fuck split (first listen)

I know Mekhago NT are great and Religious as Fuck have a great name so I'm expecting this to be delightful.

My Dying Bride - Vanite Triomphante

I love this album to death, and this song is one of the key reasons why.

This song's been speaking to me lately. I'm not the Tool fan I once was, but they have their moments.

Vampire Pledge "Vampire Library"

Pretty nice female-fronted Japanese heavy/power metal. Definitely heavier and less melodic than I was expecting. The cutesy vocals sorta clash with the music, but its not that big of a deal. This CD was on back-order for 3+ months, so I'm probably more fond of it than I should be.

Savatage - Handful of Rain

Bluesy and emotional, very well done. You can tell they meant it.

Judas Priest - Starbreaker

I'm hopefully going to be ordering Sin after Sin and Stained Class LPs off of Discogs soon.

Voivod - Corpse Etranger

Listened to the new album way too much when it came out and after a while it began to sound a bit bland. Now spinning it for the first time after a some months and I think I can finally appreciate it properly.

NP: Destruction - Eternal Devastation

I'm not a big fan of Destruction; the only album of theirs I really enjoy is Infernal Overkill. This is decent though.

Queued:

Vio-Lence - Eternal Nightmare

Some of the best thrash riffs ever recorded accompanied by one of the best vocal performances. What's not to like?

Lou Reed - Berlin

Haven't listened to any Reed since he passed away. This is my favourite album of his.

Mercyful Fate - Melissa

Took a while for this one to click but it's an absolutely incredible album.

Source of Tide - Raven Goddess, from Ruins of Beauty

I'll be honest, I went into this album not really expecting much so this first song has caught me quite by surprise. Although it can be downright goofy at moments it has still managed to maintain my full attention and cause some definite head nodding moments. I'm actually looking forward to listening to the full album.

Rush - The Fountain of Lamneth

Interesting if not immaculate. Definitely worth $2.99 I paid for it...pretty cool album.

Nightwish - Beauty of the Beast

If you're going to make a 10-minute song, this is how to do it right. Best thing about Century Child in my opinion, and I like this even more than that other popular 10-minute song of theirs, "Ghost Love Score."

Helstar - Nosferatu

When I first listened to this album I didn't like it because of the vocals, now I realize I was an idiot. This is brilliant power/thrash metal and if you like good riffs(who doesn't?) you should give this a spin.

Gentle Giant - Gentle Giant

Such a brilliant album. Well, minus the cover of the British national anthem. I just end the album with the weird blues finish of 'Why Not?'.
