Not quite an album, but not sure where else to put this. After Wacken sold out they released a waiting list for tickets that people hadn't claimed/paid for or whatever. I applied for two tickets thinking there's no way in hell I'd get any, but just got an email telling me I've been successful and gotten them! So seeing Emperor, Devin Townsend, Kreator and more, and got a rather good christmas present for my dad sorted!

Bad Brains - Into the Future [Digipak, not bad, but it's no Quickness!]
Baroness - Yellow & Green [2 CD in a slipcase, this is awful]
Boris - Smile [not bad, needs another listen or 3]
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus [UK, Digibook 2CD reissue, not my favourite of theirs but good to have it]
Megadeth - Th1rt3en [EUR, underwhelming apart from 'Fast Lane' also Friedman and Menza both have writing credits on this album...]
Old Man Gloom - No [Hydra Head Gatefold, starts off kind of blah but there is some really good stuff on here, no surprise given the band members who are also in Isis, Zozobra, Doomriders and Converge]
Skeletonwitch - Forever Abomination [Gatefold, not my cup of tea, cool artwork though]
Voïvod - Target Earth [GER, ltd ed, Digibook with stickers and 2 extra tracks, this is pretty awesome]

Oh and I got an Evile T-shirt and about 20 or so Terrorizer magazines

And about the Fullmoon tape, I got it from: Ancient Order Productions (Poland)
Think it's sold out there though.

I bought it from Kunsthauch Productions in discogs. If you want a copy, be quick. It's limited to 100 copies handnumbered.

These just came in today: (surprised that something I ordered from importcds got here so fast, usually I have to wait about 10 days)*

Cryptic Slaughter - Money Talks*
Necronomicon - Apocalyptic Nightmare
Destruction - Release From Agony

I wanted to get Convicted, but Money Talks was a bit cheaper and can be ordered from the States w/o breaking my wallet. As for Necronomicon, after I bought and listen to Darkness' Death Squad to death, I now have an obsession with non-tier German thrash bands. And I had a choice between Kreator's Terrible Certainity and Release From Agony. I could've gone either way and been happy since both reviewed pretty well.

Is that Onmyo-Za band good? Their CDs are so fuckin expensive, I don't even know where to start.

They're one of my favorite bands at the moment. And yeah, their stuff (like all Japanese bands) is very expensive (and they have a lot of albums too). I'd suggest starting with their last album "Kishi Bojin" then work your way down the discography (that's how I started, at any rate). Their discography is very confusing because everything is in Japanese - album titles, song titles, lyrics... everything. Initially, I was referring to albums by the release date or what the album cover looked like (transliterated titles don't help me much either). It was probably one of the most disorientating experiences I've had with music.

Normally I'd suggest skimming youtube for live videos (either by their Japanese name, Onmyo-Za, or Onmyouza), but for some reason, their videos are getting pulled from youtube. I think Japan's music association is doing it. I've noticed a few Galneryus lives got deleted too.

Sometimes I can still find great deals on ebay that I stumble across:

MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT/ KENOMA: split
GODSPEED YOU BLACK EMPEROR: LIFT YR SKINNY FISTS LIKE ANTE...
RINGWORM: THE PROMISE
GRIEF: AND MAN WILL BECOME THE HUNTED
WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM: Two Hunters
ACHILLES: HOSPICE
ACHILLES: THE DARK HORSE
ACHILLES: SELF TITLED
GARUDA: COLD WIRED SENTIMENT
JESU: SELF TITLED

all from the same person, nothing over 5 bucks and the achilles was actually a lot. so all 3 for 5.

SLK, are you a Ringworm fan already? I'm actually super excited to see that on your recently purchased list. I would consider The Promise to be a metalcore release in the true sense of the word, in a more metalpunk sense of the word. They're from my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, and I got to see them play The Promise in its entirety for their 20 year anniversary show back in 2010. They had a sweet video montage thing playing in the background and I remember Human Furnace was in top form that night. He was standing next to me in the crowd during one of the preceeding bands' sets. They're one of my favorite hardcore bands along with Integrity (who are also from Cleveland!!! :P but I've never been able to see them which sucks. They never play Cleveland anymore really.)

Lol I like how you said already...I can't say I'm a huge fan. I bought 'birth is pain' when it came out in 2001. That's about all I like that album but rarely listened to it. Didn't get anything else and when I was getting stuff from this seller i figured I'd buy that first album as well. Never cared too much about Integrity... put it this way I have nothing from them.

Some more stuff that came in today:

Deathrow - Deception Ignored
Agent Steel - Unstoppable Force

Deception Ignored was the cheaper and/or more local of the 3 releases, so I went with this one. I'm hoping Unstoppable Force is an improvement production-wise over the first one. The guitars on that sounded WAY to...thin, to say the least.

I can't remember which one is first, but I bought the reissue of The Work Which Transforms God once Gilead Media shipped it out and Dressed In Streams's Handmade Birds compilation (which was my first album upload into the Archives as well). Those were both a while ago, but I'm trying to cut back for a little bit.
