Just picked up Carcass' Surgical Steel on CD at their concert in NYC last weekend, and also picked it up on cassette because my car still has a tape deck and I think that's awesome. Also got some 80s classics on cassette for my car, among them Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for all, Persistance of Time, and Scream Bloody Gore.

Broken Hope turned out to be acceptably mediocre in a simplistic fun way, when I was expecting very, very little from it.

Oh, and I might be slightly obsessed with Floor Jansen.

So far only Operational Hazard came in when everything else comes out, I'll take a picture.

Stopped by the music store by my work during lunch earlier this week, they usually have some goodies (allways overpriced), but I bite anyway because im impulsive with music in that way. Only got the Watain because it was actually fairly cheap ($14), the "Independent Record Store" only version cover caught my eye, I am sure it will be easy to get rid of, if I despise it enough. Not really into Watain style BM but going to see them anyway pretty soon, just because Tribulation kicks ass and I have a feeling they carry a live atmosphere well.

That Cadaverous Condition compilation was a bit of a bitch to buy at the time. I knew I had heard of the band somewhere before, but it wasn't until I had spent about ten minutes in the shop awkwardly googling things on my phone whilst holding onto three or four CDs at the same time that I remembered that a friend of mine had linked me this song of theirs years and years ago. My memory retains the most trivial shit.

They're a weird band too. It's all kind of folky acoustic stuff with growls over the top. Not to mention the lyrics are pretty good, going for all that 'lots and lots of imagery' styled stuff whilst managing to sound neither contrived nor pretentious.

Got Krabathor - Orthodox on CD via a private deal, man this is heavy, I wasn't expecting it.
Their other album I have here Mortal Memories is more like death/thrash but this is just full blown death, nice.

Also from the same person a Butcher ABC tape to put on CD for them, I've not heard it yet but it could be cool
