Software used:
REAPER DAW
Amplitube 2.0
Addictive Drums
Reason 3.0

https://soundcloud.com/fallen-art/darkmoon-rising-vii
https://soundcloud.com/fallen-art/darkmoon-rising-ix
Enjoy or hate!

Is that bad or it is not? And if it is good enough why the hack is hard to find a label??

I'm not sure if it's good or not since I didn't bother listening to it but if you're looking to release music on a label then don't clutch to an old recording of a song you wrote over a decade ago. Write and record something new, move forward with your life.

Sheesh.

Not much good music gets signed. If you've been playing music for ELEVEN YEARS you should know that by now.

I listened to both tracks you posted, and many other things on your soundcloud. Your playing is very tight, your riffs are creative and catchy, your songwriting is excellent, and I love the way your guitar lines create counterpoint and interact with the orchestral elements - but none of that has anything to do with getting signed. Generally speaking (there are small independent labels that create exceptions to the following rule) labels need to be convinced that your music will sell.

@Sheesh
Well it was just an example :D I did not stop last 21 years to play, record and to do anything for the music i like. Mostly I do it for me - probably u know that feeling when u get itching in your fingers to unleash all the feelings and emotions from you. I'm recording new stuff all the time. Used these examples because I was thinking it is not that bad (I can not discuss the quality of my music, that's why i prefer the opinion of side ppl)

@Somefella - Ya, I continue to notice that i find many really talented bands to release their albums alone. Just was curious if someone of the musician community has same issues :)

@guitartheist - Thank you that you bothered to listen to the songs and thank you for your kind opinion. Btw I never aimed to sign NB, CM, MB or any f these big labels. Always thought that small label with few bands in it's roster = better attention and focus on the bands.

Still as I said, I do it mostly for myself.

P.S. I'm open for any kind of collaborations if someone is interested to sing these two - and 4 more songs (recorded) for a possible EP or split.

Cheers all!

Fair enough! I'm always moving onto the next song, so I guess I made an assumption about why you were posting an older one.

And actually, this stuff is solid! Good riffs and the songs progress really well.

I love it. This is very good. Getting vocals and getting better sounding drums (Mostly the actual drums, not the cymbals, the cymbals sound good, and drums itself sound really plastic-y at times.) would help. Remember, being signed is not just making good music. Its marketing and shit. You need to build hype around your music, that is a good way to start. Whore your music out on youtube, facebook, tumblr, twitter, myspace, and in every other place, make playthrough vids, make an image for yourself. Making a single coherent release by yourself and releasing it is a good start, and like I said, vocals. They add personality. Find your music niche, and aim for labels in that niche, for example, if you hypothetically were a slam band, try Sevared, etc. Also, you said you didn't try CM etc. Who knows, its unlikely, but maybe you will get signed, haha. It doesn't hurt trying. Wish you good luck, because this is really good stuff.e

EDIT: I see you have vocals on one of your songs. They are nice. They remind me of Heartwork and forward era Carcass Jeff Walker.

@DarkWolfyXV

Thank you for the kind post and for the advice to share stuff everywhere. May be it is one of the parts I lack pretty much - promoting the music. Always used to fail with everything not music related. Looks like I'll have to find someone to care for that :D

P.S. Not sure on which song you've heard the vocal lines. If it is on this one:

https://soundcloud.com/fallen-art/dmr-where-the-shadows-come

It is the old vocal of the band. Lately he is not much into extreme music and stuff :D

P.P.S

No bass lines were recorded. If someone is interested to collaborate with it may be we can reincarnate the band at least with the recordings.

I hate doing that too, but it's a necessary evil to get your music out there. Label deal or no label deal, we now live in an age where shitty music is so widespread that you HAVE to come up with something good about your band to tell people why they should check it out. I don't even click on anything interesting anymore unless someone whose taste I trust tells me it's worth a shot, or I am bored, or someone on here posts a song asking for feedback, etc.

Share stuff, do trades, but don't spam. Once I had this band post on my Facebook saying "Support should be mutual! We liked your page so do like ours!"

DarkWolfXV

Oh, that's me. One of the side projects. We used to play with Svart Crown and Bane as support act with this one for the SC European tour. But lately i have some throat issues and have to skip screaming...

My latest vocal appearance is on this track for a friend of mine:

http://soundcloud.com/schadenfreudemusic/mrakobes-i-tracks

Which imo sounds a bit like Carcass type as music :)
