Love Virulence, never much talk about them that I see.

I would recomment that you find janmichealvincentcarcrash: a cobra trilogy. it's difficult to come across in both searching for it to get a physical copy since it was on some very small no name label. There is also a discography cd that actually pops up every so often on ebay and amazon. it has that ep on it and it's great as well.

not as grindy as Virulence but just as strange in songstructure and similar sound to their riffs, and buried in there is some cello.

Also you might like Born Under Saturn, Employer/Employee, The End's first ep.

also.. never once thought there was any rap in virulence.

Hey, thanks for the recs! Will start to look for them.

About the rapping, I meant the rythm he sang: there are several parts he's almost rapping if you ask me.

Well that's you, it just is fast screaming. lots of thrash bands do that as well and it certainly is never thought of as rapping. If I'm thinking I'm pinpointing what you are saying is the rapping.

Anyway you are welcome. Hope you find them close to what you want.

Sounds awesome, gonna check it out after I finish this playlist I'm on.

EDIT: Dude this is pretty cool! Single-foot blast frenzy, and you were right about the bass. Hopefully they do more!

that Radiation is pretty sweet. though I would've liked my bass a bit more blower, it's just kinda loud and hollow to me.

and speaking of single foot blast frenzy my band Kamikaze Pilots has a new ep upcoming and here is a track from it:

thanks! I think after mixing everything down I know I have to balance a few since it was over several sessions.. I might bring the guitars up a bit more in all the songs.

KP song sounded good. Reminded me of Powercup. I will have to get some stuff.

Radiation sounded sick as well.

Quick dragunov review i did for cvlt nation. Writhing and viscous, it's got a vibe that not enough grindcore has.

Yeah, it was just nice to write about something short instead of some sludge shit. my brain's been fucking fried. Enjoying the shit outta Enemy Soil recently. Love the stuff without the drum machine and Johnson's so good at writing memorable grind songs.

What do people think of the new sick/tired?

So the show was probably one of the best in my opinion. Of course I saw Swallowing Bile, Water Torture and Victims of Circumstance but the real icing on the cake was Gas Chamber doing one of the most insane noise sets I have seen. Sea of Shit and Sick/Tired were fantastic as well. So heavy.

Yes and I am seeing them on Tuesday with Tragedy! Probably one of their last shows for the rest of the year cause they are songwriting for recordings. Honestly, Buffalo has some really amazing bands and going there so many times this past week has made me want to move there.

From a neighboring city, is there a resource/website to see all these upcoming Buffalo shows?

Sea of Shit KILLED it. Dudes were nice and fun as shit. sick/tried were fun, nice dudes too, bass was a bit too much (OH WELL). Look out for Lucid Terror, they were super solid Assuck/Terrorizer-esque grind. Heavy as shit.

support these dudes if they're coming through.

In my sig there is a link for the facebook page for Western NY metal shows. I usually post there a lot and it covers Rochester, BUffalo, Erie PA and Jamestown.

And Sea of Shit were amazing. Got their discography tape and their tour tape. Great band.

I'm gonna need to check into some recordings! And I hope they come further south, the closest thing to grind I've got to see is Dead In The Dirt in a few weeks, and I don't really like that band at all.

Can someone recommend me some Grindcore with some awesome build ups and groovy as hell instrumentation. Im kinda tired of bands just playing fast and not really focusing on the riffing

Here are some examples, you'll know what i mean when you hear it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veEG636M0UY (early PD really captures the groove im talking about)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1Pt3TojQ6g (dat build up)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX8Pm465Nj4
http://rottensound.bandcamp.com/track/power (utube version sucked)

Insect Warfare's World Extermination should be under your pillow every night, just case 1 too many bong hits made you forget.

Check out SIxbrewbantha, they definitely stick to the fast but throw some nasty grooves in there from time to time. Killer band.

And aside for Weekend Nachos, ive never really dabbled into the whole powerviolence thing. Can anyone rec me some more bands, particularly ones like Sex Prisoner.

Manpig

Sea of Shit

Extortion

I know you will like Sea of Shit they are probably my favorite new powerviolence band. Sick production and awesome vocals.

Yep, they've got a split with Suffering Mind coming out next year, and are playing a few gigs including MDF next year. Thing is, Jerry Flores isn't playing with them, so I'm a bit skeptical as far as new songs go. But if I play my cards right, I'll be heading up to MDF next year and most likely get to wreck my neck to "Bomb Has Fallen" or "Last Act Of Man". yeayeayeayeayeayeayeayeayeayea
