:D What do you think of this demo? I really like this band, I'm always singing their praises every chance I get and it's nice to see them getting some support.

I ordered that Grand Mood tape and another tape from Seedstock but they sent me the wrong order... I would really like to hear it though.

It's cool stuff - you bought a Cirrhus tape recently, so I assume you're familiar with that band, I'll compare it to them... it's like a less raw, partially more stable Cirrhus. It's still got the cool, pretty, fluttering melodies and a similar vocal approach, but it's not as punky or unsteady-feeling. Definitely worth a purchase, if you ask me.

Last album I bought was Some Say I So I Say Light by Ghostpoet. Although I bought a bunch more from an online store, that was my most recent one.

It's not a first press, I have that one and the cover is the one with the hooked guy. You can check it out on ... metal-archives.

Scored some Bible of the Devil releases I didn't previously own.

Bible of the Devil - Firewater at My Command
Bible of the Devil - Tight Empire
Bible of the Devil - Brutality ✠ Majesty ✠ Eternity
Bible of the Devil - Freedom Metal
Bible of the Devil - For the Love of Thugs & Fools
Bible of the Devil / Züül - Ruled by Rage / Brother to Brother 7" split

And also Mount Salem - Endless. A band that seems to worship Jex Thoth. Not nearly as talented but a good release nonetheless.

Wow, great haul! Would love to have Rigor mortis on vinyl too. Also the Nekromantheon is nice!

That was my first Cirrhus release, but yeah, I'm somewhat familiar with them. I'm definitely hoping that Seedstock will actually send me a Grand Mood tape (and refund me for the other tape I ordered since they said it was now out of stock).

Picked all of these up yesterday:

Amon Amarth - Deciever of the Gods
Emperor - Emperor/ Wrath of the Tyrant
Terrorizer - World Downfall and Hordes of Zombies

Loving the new Amon, but it's really not much different than the last two as far as I'm concerned.

As far as Terrorizer, this is my first taste, and I love it. Great grinding death, especially World Downfall. I can understand why so many people hate Hordes of Zombies, but I think it's great. Repetition doesn't bother me at all and I think this album rips. Very heavy.

I actually just nabbed it as a more affordable alternative to something else I wanted to get. I got it on a whim since the name sounded interesting/unusual.

That said, it's quite good, especially "Iron Cornucopia". Very nice demo which I am glad I purchased.

Today I bought a copy of "Aphasia" by Aphasia at the record store. Black vinyl:

Picked up three LPs yesterday:

Leviathan - The Blind Wound (black wax)
Spoiler: show

Godflesh - Hymns (2LP reissue)

Warhead - What to do with this yearning...?/The Lost Self and Beating Heart

The Warhead comp is probably my favorite purchase as of late. Totally insane and destructive Japanese noise-punk.

Three stunning albums there Nap, enjoy! The Gathering Wilderness would easily be my personal pick of those, with it's huge, powerful and earthy sound. The cover art reflects the music rather well.

The Palms record is pretty much exactly what you'd expect; a slightly mellower Isis with Chino's distinct vocals mixed in. There are some heavier moments instrumentally, and I think Chino goes into screaming only once or twice, but this is overall a mellow post/indie rock album. I think the end result is excellent, and I'm not really a Deftones fan (I bought the record mostly for the core Isis instrumentalists, particularly Jeff Caxide, who is one of my favorite bassists).

As for Queens, I haven't had a chance to play it as of yet, but am looking very forward to it. I'm just now coming around on Era Vulgaris after hating it for quite some time, and I think the rest of their discography is brilliant, so I expect this to be great as well.

Yeah, that's pretty much the expectation. A good one at that, though. I could never get into Era Vulgaris, with the exception of Sick, Sick, Sick and Into the Hollow. It's a great album though. Definitely an "experimental" one for them. Hope you enjoy it though!
