promo/radio station/advance copies are legit as fuck if you like to collect them. they are to me, anyway.
you should see my radio station promo cassette collection sumtime. I think here's something rather sexy about utilitarian, plain-text, b&w cassette inserts, personally.

Well, these are just my personal preferences. And besides, it would seem that the way the thread operates means it's naturally geared towards that anyways: I've posted in this thread maybe 40-50 times and the only time my posts sparked a conversation were when I bought something rare, or something that cost me a fuckload. No one else thinks that an average everyday Cannibal Corpse CD is worth commenting on, ergo, most people in the thread are just interested in rarity as far as conversation goes (mind you, I still enjoy looking at everyone's pictures of music porn, but unless they've bought something really cool I won't feel the need to comment on it personally).

Well, none of this can really change the fact that "what I think this thread ought to be about" has no bearing on "what the title actually says". That's the only point I'm trying to make.

Not that I'm really that hung up on it...

MutantClannfear, maybe you missed my weight on the arguement between you and Opus. it also applies to you when I slightly reword it:

"Basically stop being a crybaby, ... Cause this is the latest album purchase thread not 'latest album purchase of rare bullshit' thread"

certainly both rare and common have their place here and really nothing should be said about the inclusion of one or the other and just more comments on plainly what you have gotten.

I'll post about some stuff my wife just got in that I didn't know she even ordered after dinner.

It's a good thing I wasn't ever trying to tell anybody what they can and can't post in this thread and only referred to my personal preferences then, isn't it? :D

Regardless you still sound like a crybaby, cause no one cared or asked for your personal preferences. :-D

Don't sleep on it! I got mine directly from the band and they only have a few copies left. There was also a Czech distro mentioned on the band's Facebook page which was stocking it a long time ago but I don't remember the name or know if it's still there.

My copy of Blazon Stone has arrived. It looks like it's the 1991 firstpress on EMI Noise, but as I'm fairly certain that my Under Jolly Roger is a bootleg, I'm wondering if anyone with a confirmed legit copy of Blazon Stone can compare their matrix with mine.

The matrix on mine reads:

SONOPRESS F-1876 / 7962802 A
there's also a standalone "2" in the same ring. No IFPI as far as I can see. Catalog # on the insert is 1 C 564 796280-2.

I realize the bootleggers have gotten insanely good at this point, and the bootleg Noise releases are very difficult to tell from the originals, but any help is appreciated.

A photo of the matrix is a good idea, someone can compare them then.

I loved their second album it had the faster tempo of Speedway, but better riffs, vocals, and melodies from the German power scene at the time. Good choice though!

Quite cool to see someone here paying attention to these two amazing releases. I just received "Ljung" by Dusa yesterday and got the 7" some time ago. The 7" is purely a noise recording but "Ljung" is quite similar with "Segermannen", though, there are few parts with beats in "Ljung" but it's all good.

Worse. It was unnesscesarily long and the last couple of tracks ruined the flow of the album.

I haven't had a chance to dig into these yet with all the new music I've gotten recently, but it's good to hear that they are both great releases. They were pretty much a blind buy for me based on the descriptions on the label's website.
