This might be a bit of an odd request but I'm looking for grindcore and/or powerviolence bands who have lineups consisting of drums, vocals, and bass, no guitars. Stylistically, I'm interested in bands kind of similar to Insect Warfare, Endless Blockade, and Circle of Dead Children.

Cause for Effect

I've always found them a little too free form to truly understand, but still really cool stuff.

I think Painkiller don't have guitars.

Just to be sure, you know Insect Warfare's last release didn't have any guitars on it, right? outside of that, the best one's been mentioned; Water Torture.

There's a lot of crap like Godstomper who have no guitars. There's also Trencher who are really odd and use keys, bass, and drums, but they're great and have one of the best music videos around.

that insect warfare you are talking about is Noise Grind Power Death.. cause that's not their last release... and anyway it's pretty much just noise. I don't think it really counts since he asked for drums, vocals, bass... there's no bass on that as well.

What is "Noise Grind Power Death"?

I have never heard of this sub genre.

Is it a comb of Grindcore, Noise, Power Violence and Death metal?

If so, what other bands play this style?

That's the name of the release of that Insect Warfare release. it's not a subgenre. if there are other bands that played in the style of that I wouldn't know cause I thought it was garbage.

I have extremely little experience in this field.
All I know of is this, and it doesn't have guitars.

i don't like noise driven grind much, but i actually love the release. it's just the band having fun and a big middle finger to everyone as their last release.

it was a fun blind purchase. I can't tell you how many times I switched the speed on my record player because I wasn't sure what was going on.

The band Spasm, a pretty catchy and funny goregrind band. They dub themselves "Drum n Bass Gigolo Goregrind".
