They're pretty handy...not anywhere near as crystal clear and useful as they look in the videogames though. The IR laser isn't much good when your night vision gets all fuzzy and shitty. (Oh and it's spelled with a Q, just in case you ever need that useless bit of info)

Whatever, I barely turned mine on when I had it - don't need to worry about no spelling.

The day laser is of very limited utility but the IR is fantastic, coming from old-school night aiming devices anyway. We're a bit primitive in Australia.

Yeah I rarely use mine anymore...as you can see I didn't even bother taking it off the default armory spot and mounting it on the side...lasers are fairly useless in thick vegetation like that. We have the PEQ-16 so having a flashlight on there is pretty nice also.

I love the IR laser also but I've spent more time doing dumbass "night ranges" with it when I could be sleeping so I have a little bit of resentment towards it

The wonderful benefit of being a combat engineer is you can pretty much pay off doing anything at night

Yeah for us ground pounders it's more like

"What, you did a 6 hour patrol, 6 hours of post an you're about to go on rest? How about you eat a dick!"

Yeah, I feel your pain on MPB. I've begun losing some of my hair as well. Not looking forward to the day where I have to keep my head shaved.

Enjoy it while you have it. I made it until I was 20 until I had to start shaving it off completely. I overcompensated with a large goatee, which I loved. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to have facial hair (aside from a stupid mustache).

Grow it long until it becomes an obvious skullet like Devin Townsend had for a while.

It's quite liberating when you finally do shave it off, so much less hassle.

And nooo, the skullet is not a good look!

I don't even have long hair anymore, because of the way my hair has begun to recede, it looks like shit when it's long. I keep it shorter, which looks better for the time being.
