This is a sad day for film, the gave us some of th most memorable special effects in history, an through easily one of the most tideous and backbreaking ways possible. Thank you Ray for some of my favorite all time movies.

Sad indeed. his creations are inspiring. Not just special effects, but true craftsmanship and artistry. Going to watch jason and the Argonauts and The Golden Voyage of Sinbad this week.

Hasn't been in the news as much as I expected. Definitely a sad day. What a legend. I miss practical effects.
