Just went for a stroll around town and found this gem of Japanese psychedelia:

Flower Travellin' Band - Satory
Great album if you're into psychedelic acid rock with that certain hard-hitting guitar sound

I'm averaging at about two CDs per month. Hopefully by the end of this year, I should have most of my all time favorite albums in the physical form. Damn you, budgetary constraints.

My Sleep ~ Dopesmoker cassette limited to 1000 copies came in today! As you can see from the third pic their was a minuscule scratch in the front plastic, probably happened during shipping, but it's fine. The artwork from arik roper is beautiful, the cover folds out to eight pages I think, and the inside is a night time version of the outside cover.

Now it's time to make a phone call, and change my bong water lol

Spoiler: show

Yeah, I expected them to sell out pretty quickly so I ordered mine right away. Plus it was only like $10 with shipping.

Will you guys actually play the tape or is it just for collectability and you'll play the CD/LP instead?

No, I'll actually play the tape. I don't have it on any other format so it's the only way I can listen to it.

Hey Rainbow Demon, how is that Abysmal grief album? I've heard mixed things about them but I think that cover art is sweet.

I really like Feretri. I also heard some grumblings about the record but, I've been spinning it constantly since I got it and I'm really diggin' it. If you liked Misfortune you won't be let down.

I'll actually play the tape as well. I don't have the album on CD or LP, and I've been listening to tapes more and more in the past weeks.

The Beyond Creation album is fantastic, great purchase :)

Recently, I have not purchased any new CD's, though that may change come tomorrow morning.

This weekend I've ordered:

Avenger - Killer Elite
Judas Priest - Hellbent for Leather
Blind Guardian - Somewhere Far Beyond
Blood Ceremony - Living With the Ancients

Pretty well-rounded selection, a LOT of stuff I've never heard before. I've only ever had BG's early speed metal stuff, and I've heard SfB still incorporates a good amount of that style along with the epic.

I'm a little out of order with Avenger, as I haven't got Blood Sports yet. DRD's review convinced me to give this one a shot. Hoping for a late-running nwobhm gem.

I'd say that it's also their most thrashy album. To my ears at least. My favorite of theirs as well. Good choice!

Finally!

YDI - Out For Blood CD (compilation of all of their material including the 1983 demo)

A awesome discography CD of an very underrated hardcore punk band from Philadephia. Dark, angry and vicious stuff.

I do as well! I actually picked up these two albums after listening to the Polish Assault compilation and loving all 4 bands on it (I already had Decapitated and Lost Soul in my collection).

Physical:
Type O Negative - Dead Again
Type O Negative - Bloody Kisses

Digital:
Type O Negative - World Coming Down

I've really been on a kick for these guys lately, went through hell trying to find any of their CD's in my area. Broke down and bought World Coming Down on iTunes because I really wanted it and couldn't find it anywhere.
