I finally found a metal record store and is not really that far from where I'm living at the moment, I AM HAPPY

These were the first ones I got, I'm planning checking that store from time to time.

So yesterday I didn't go to my local music shop due to lack of funds and not wanting to 'window shop' and look like an egg, it's the first Sunday I've missed for months, I got a text from one of the staff there asking me if I was ok and if I'd been arrested or hospitalised and if so to get well soon/get a good lawyer ha ha ha ha
Actually it was two of them "Hey bro it's xxxx from the shop, xxxx and I were wondering..."
When I walk in there I feel like Norm from Cheers

I seriously have to sell some stuff :(

Interesting sig there IntoNevermore

Blew nearly $60 bucks on two LPs today. The first is a 20 year anniversary picture disk of Rage Against the Machine's self titled debut. I know a lot of people here hate RATM but this album is something special. One of the first albums to get me into heavier stuff and the only album of their's where the anger and passion feels real. I have mixed feelings about the band (don't like the sophomore, other two are hit or miss) but the guitar and energy on this one is incredible. Yes they spawned a monster with the nu-metal imitators, yes it's not at all real metal (which shouldn't matter because they were never trying to be) and yes they mix rap vocals with heavier music, but goddamn do I like it.

The other one was Morning Glory's Poets Where My Heroes. Nice gatefold LP. At this point they might as well be a pop-punk band, but damn do they do it well. And for the record, I don't mean bubblegum pop punk like Blink. This is about E overcoming his heroin addiction (he got kicked out of fucking Leftover Crack for a while for doing too much drugs) and getting his shit together. A lot less raw than previous records, but it fits the sound and the additional piano and the inclusion of a string and horns section do wonders. Definitely in my top 5 of 2012.

Thanks dreadmeat, it is in honor to a little special someone that got into my life and made me really happy for a period of time, no, she is not death, it just isn't the same anymore, but, oh well... Love's a funny thing n.n

Thats a cool story too man, I'll probably become a regular buyer in the store I just found too.

Just today I picked up "Necroshine" by Overkill, and while it's status as a metal album is debatable I also picked up a copy of Deep Purple's latest album "Now What!?"

it was ebay so most of them were 6.66 a couple of 7.50. And turns out I already had Cancer: Sins of Mankind. when I bid I just went through and bid on everything on sat and then didn't look at it again. The one that I was aiming to win I ended up losing. fuckery.

Received in the mail from Shadow Kingdom Records:
Pagan Altar: The Time Lord, Judgement of the Dead and Mythical & Magical, all on cd.

I already own Lords of Hypocrisy, but I'm half tempted to order the SKR reissue. Anyone own it and can you tell me how the liner notes are?

That Souls of Mischief album is awesome. I dig Dogg Food as well, still need that Warren G though.

Went down to the States over the weekend for a funeral, but that doesn't mean the metal has to stop. My American acquisitions:

Anthrax - Anthems
Aura Noir - Out To Die
Byzantine - Oblivion Beckons
Cloudscape - New Era (blind buy)
Finntroll - Blodsvept
Fullforce - Next Level
Grand Magus - Iron Will
Kobra And The Lotus - S/T (blind buy)
Krypteria - Bloodangel's Cry (blind buy)
Magnum - On The 13th Day (Two-disc)
OSI - Office Of Strategic Influence (limited edition two-disc)
Riot - The Privilege Of Power
Riot - Through The Storm
Rush - Grace Under Pressure
Rush - Hold Your Fire
Voivod - Target Earth
Wolves In The Throne Room - Celestial Lineage

Much of it was ridiculously cheap, at least compared to Canada (and some of it was used, but everything's in good condition).

CDs from Record and Tape Traders:

Dødheimsgard - Kronet til konge
Katatonia - Dance of December Souls, Not bad, definitely worth owning.
The Obsessed - The Church Within, Cool band, Wino sounds great on their debut. I look forward to seeing them at MDF. Wino two years in a row! :headbang:
Pentagram - Show 'em How, Probably the weakest Pentagram, but still has some cool riffs here and there. I'll be collecting all of Pentagram eventually anyway.

Yeah cool, that place is excellent aye.
I got these from Discogs today myself, some killer deals can be had there.
They came from Belgium

Urgrund – Disciples Of Supremacy [AUS black/death, this was cheap but these guys are pretty good too, I have 3 of their albums now] *some AUS metal royalty in this band*
Various – Corporate Death – A Relapse Multi Death Compilation [wicked compilation! I had this on tape way back when, brings back memories, has everything from Disembowelment to Mortician to Dead World]

Hell yes, love these guys, I'll make a copy of my Mortal Massacre tape one of these days ha ha
I remember playing this tape on my mate's hell-massive car stereo [RX-4 with subwoofers + 6x9's etc] the whole place just about shit itself :o
he wasn't a DM guy at all ha ha

I just got done watching the blu-ray.

I may have fallen away from this band in a big way since I first got into them a decade ago, but their live records are still tremendous. You shouldn't be let down.
