Taking a long-term working vacation in northern Utah, and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of the beautiful mountain scenery in the area-

Image
This is Box Elder Peak, averaging about 9000ft.

Image
I snapped this panoramic shot, but it's a little too small to be good in my opinion. Need a better camera.

I'll have some of my own to share later... :) with lots of cute (wild!) animals too!

Yeah, Boreal, seriously. Are those aurora pictures time-lapse at all or what? Just seems like you could point the camera up at the sky, take a picture every five or ten seconds and get something awesome in each one.

I took this pic when I was with my dad at the Cueva de la Ventana (literally 'Window's Cave) next to his house in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. Basically it was taken inside one of the cave's opening looking at the old road that takes you to a little town called Utuado. Great stuff, if any of you guys visit you shouldn't hesitate to go this great, underrated landmark.

First one is amazing, ForestCorpse!
Do you use to drive through those paths in the mountains?
Those make me remember my trail motorbike!
We, finally, made an arrangement with the Yamaha dealer and they paid us for the motorbike they broke.
Now we'll look for another one (obviously, if it's the yamaha, we'll go to another dealer):

BasqueStorm: Thanks!
No, I don't drive on these roads, first of all I don't have any motorbike or stuff like that, and I really like to walk on my feet! :P
I can imagen it would be cool to drive there though!

Turtle_Factory: Thank you! Oh yes, it's quite a nice view. It was hazy and rainy, so it could have been a lot better though.

bloodycumshit: We were up in that area to take down some telephone poles and cables. It's a farm there, but no one lives there now, only the houses are left. So we took away the phone/internet cables!

Gyromitra esculenta, sometimes jokingly referred to a the "pufferfish of the northern forests" due to the fact that it's both delicious as hell, and quite lethal if prepared wrong. Picked and cooked a bunch of these a few days ago, and I must say that a rare steak and these flambeed with whiskey and then covered with cream, along with steamed veggies, cherry tomatoes, and spring onions, is a feast for kings.

Pic taken just 80 meters from out kitchen door. I love living in the woods.

From the wiki: Although it is still commonly parboiled before preparation, recent evidence suggests that even this procedure may not make the fungus entirely safe

@Napero, cool to see you enjoy those Gyromitra, I don't know anyone that eats what we call G. esculenta here and its supposed to be even safer then the European counterpart.

Here is a recent pic of our version.
