Never thought I'd see Stabbing Westward in this thread. I have that the first and the one after. I like the one you picked up the best.

Picked up some CDs/Tape from Black Mess Records:

Dead Congregation - Graves of the Archangels
Inquisition - Ominous Doctrines of the Perpetual Mystical Macrocosm
Mausoleum - Back from the Funeral
Necropsy - Endless Aggression, Tape by Black Mess Productions #58/500. These guys will be at MDF this year under the name Noisem.
Sargeist - Let the Devil In

Black Mess Records is a record shop here in Baltimore that specializes in underground extreme metal and they have a great selection of vinyl, a lot of rare stuff too. So, if you're into vinyl and happen to be visiting Baltimore (not sure why in the hell you'd do that other than for MDF), check them out. Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/BlackMessRecords

The guy that runs this record shop is also in the death/doom band Oak, so check that band out too. Their debut is really damn killer dark death/doom stuff.

Jo is an awesome fellow he has some of really top quality Death/Black LPs. He even brings some of them to sell at most Baltimore area venues like the last Absu show where I picked up a Mitochondrion Parasignosis 2LP from him.

A few days ago, I got Elysian Blaze's Blood Geometry. I ordered this one new from an official distro just after listening to one song. I do not regret his purchase one bit, this album is fucking amazing.

Today, I got Leviathan's split with Iuvenes in the mail. A nice addition to my Leviathan collection considering this is supposed to be a pretty uncommon CD.

It's not uncommon here in NZ for some reason, I got it for a mate not that long ago from a shop.

Endstille- Endstilles Reich. Never heard these guys before, but found a second hand copy in a local record store. Pretty decent, will need a few more listens to get it, but I like the style.
Raven Dark- Autumn Roar. Also second hand. Dunno yet. I don't massively like this sort of atmospheric black metal; prefer the stylings of Verdunkeln or Lunar Aurora for atmospheric BM as opposed to plain TH worship, but will give it a few more spins.

Trist - Sebevrazedni Andele and Apati - Eufori for 14 CAD total :D
I fell asleep to the Trist album last night... I must admit I felt very uneasy from the last 1½ minutes or so of screams in the end of part 1...

Yeah, I actually stopped by Tuesday, but they were closed that day. Not a big deal, since Black Mess is on my way home from work. I talked to him for about a half hour that day and then went back yesterday when they were actually open and was talking to him a lot while looking around. Talking anything and everything metal. His knowledge of metal is really stunning, you gotta know your shit to keep up with him. hehe I actually talked to him a few times at MDF too, but I didn't realize it was Jo from Oak until a few months back. He told me some really interesting things too (like about Sororicide, for example), he has so many connections in the metal scene, it's crazy.

But yes, that place is the spot if you are into vinyl. I'm not myself, but I may have to pick up one or two anyway on Saturday due to the sales going on there, since it's Record Store Day. I'll definitely be dropping some money there on Saturday, and probably Sound Garden too. Hit both places, since there will be a small Type O Negative item I'd like to pick up at Sound Garden probably.

I got mine off of ebay from some dude in England. Wasn't cheap either. But I'm building a collection of Leviathan CDs and I had to get this one sooner or later. Iuvenes' half is kinda meh, but Leviathan's half is pure gold. "I Miss Watching You Die" doesn't get old.

So some CDs arrived today from this bloke on Discogs
http://www.discogs.com/sell/seller_feedback/fiend.tone
You'll never guess what condition they are all in... I'M SPEWING! grrrr :fuck: :grr: :annoyed:
Accurately graded by me in RED BOLD
http://www.discogs.com/help/mp-grading.html
Poor means it's almost totally rooted, chuck it in the bin, Good is barely acceptable, which is fine if it's not graded as VG+!
Even VG will have loads of scratches
Some of the Poor graded discs have scratches on the printed side too and may be irreparable.

Corrosion Of Conformity - Blind (CD, Album)
Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) VG
Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Zyklon - World Ov Worms (CD, Album)
Media Condition: Near Mint (NM or M-) VG
Sleeve Condition: Near Mint (NM or M-)

Melvins - Dale Crover (CD, Maxi)
Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) G
Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Damaged - Token Remedies Research (CD, Album)
Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+) G / Poor
Sleeve Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)

Grand Supreme Blood Court - Bow Down Before The Blood Court (CD)
Media Condition: Mint (M) Poor unbelievably this was graded "mint"
Sleeve Condition: Mint (M)
BRAND NEW STILL SHRINKWRAPPED

The packing was quite bad too, there was virtually none, it came half way around the world in a plastic bag with one piece of cardboard on one side with nothing else, all just slopping around inside.
The pen used to address it almost totally rubbed off too.

He chucked in one free CD, disc only but it has the worst disc rot I've ever seen, it's so bad it's impressive... [I knew it was going to be bad so I'm cool with that]

Edit: and now the abuse rolls in, be warned folks...

Ha! fortunately that one plays, it was still over graded though.

I got this response from Discogs admin

Quote:
Hi Todd,

I have removed the feedback from your account. You should leave the appropriate feedback at this time.

I have warned the seller that their suspension is imminent if their feedback does not improve.

Respectfully,

Bxxxx

Just grabbed these:

Eibon - Entering Darkness (Digipak CD)
Nordreich - Verschlungene Pfade (CD)

Spoiler: show
Image

Nordreich is a killer black metal band. At first spin, it does seem to have some atmospheric elements as well as I could hear some finnish black metal influences. It's highly recommended. Currently listening to Eibon at the moment and it seems pretty decent. Sludgy-doom with moderately raspy vocals. It might take a couple of listens to get into this.

Quite Ministry/NIN-ish, industrial rock-almost-metal

Drum n Bass is not :gay:

Ew... I really need to pay closer attention at RSD (it's hard though, when everything is set on two little tables surrounded by people).

I bought a maroonish-red 7" of Dio's Holy Diver single and didn't even realize it was a "side by side" record with the lame Killswitch Engage cover on the other side.

Might not have even bought it otherwise... but whatever. The D-man on ltd. colored vinyl is p. cool, I suppose, and there was only one copy.
I was really hoping to find the Deep Purple/Type O Negative split, tho... No such luck.

I also got a 3-cassette compilation of the Kill Rock Stars/Stars Kill Rock/Rock Stars Kill compilations.
+ a tote bad they put my stuff in, which had two free CD's, which I can't really recall without looking.

DAT BUYERZ REMORSE. RSD is so dumb... Every day is record store day if you want it to be!

Got two Running Wild albums in the mail today. I'm really happy to finally replace my bootleg of Blazon Stone with a legit copy!
