Entered it for shits and giggles with my band Nucleus. Expected some bigger bands to enter but its mostly smaller local bands. Hopefully its not just this and they still have a good direct support band.

Is your band the one with the Voivod/Vektor-ish logo?

No its a ridiculously long contest....ends on the 18th, show is on the 21st.

I have a feeling Morgue Supplier is gonna win(they got added to the contest like the second or third day).

I hope not, they sound pretty damn lame to me. Just another generic death metal act, Meh.

I play guitar in Nucleus as well, thanks for the great words, guys! We're trying to get the word out as much as possible about this. Slim chance we'll win but hey, it's worth a shot!

On this page

http://apps.facebook.com/my-contests/luwdt

Its kinda badly put together, the actual drop down menu to choose a band is at the bottom, and the place you put your email is ABOVE that past the picture. ITs one of those vote once a day contests.

Masters of Metal were very good. They warmed up the crowd a little.
Anciients had their great moments. Kinda gave huge Mastodon vibes at times, but they were fucking good. Gonna get their CD later. They really got the crowd going. I was impressed.
Death To All: almost as great as the first Death To All (it was still fucking amazing), but the crowd was MUCH more insane. Apeshit. Fucking rabid.

This show ended up being the craziest night of my entire life. Crazier than the first DTA. GO TO THE SHOW. IF YOU HAVE A CHANCE TAKE IT.

Watched the first show on Youtube. I found it quite great. Particularly fanboy'd out at Baptized in Blood. Death only played that live four times and never past 1989.

Don't spoil the show man! I tried to refrain myself from naming some songs. :-P
But I will say this: Max Phelps was the right person for this.
Spoiler: show
This was the most violent show I've been in. The pit erupted during the intro!

Max even looks a bit like Chuck. That combined with it being the Human lineup and the stage banner simply being the TSoP-era Death logo made it look pretty much identical to what a modern day Death concert would be if Chuck was still alive.

How have the merchandise stands been so far for the tour? I just need to know how much money to bring with me cause there's no way I'm leaving empty handed.

I can help.

At the first show!
-Death: Symbolic
-Death: Spiritual Healing
-Death: TSoP
-Death: Vivus!
-Mantas CD
-Control Denied: The Fragile Art of Existence
$15

-Death To All silver tour dates
-Death To All red design, no tour dates
-Cynic: Focus
-Death: Human Gold design shirt
$20

-Death hoodie
$30

They also had a Cynic vinyl record (Focus) on sale. The show had quite a lot of selection. I got myself a Cynic: Focus shirt and a DTA shirt with the silver tour dates. Also found myself a Violator backpatch at the show. :-D
Pretty sure there was much more, but I was just trying to get out of the merch booth. Too many people were there...
These prices were REALLY generous, in my opinion.

Sweet that's actually not outrageous like I thought it would be, thanks. . I'm thinking I'll probably pick up a Death hoodie but idk I'd like to get a hoodie and a shirt but that's probably gonna be too much money since I also wana pick up some CDs while I'm there.

They were also selling autographed Focus vinyls for $30! Original pressing too! Think the lady said they were only selling 10 a show. Pretty rare stuff! If I had a record player I TOTALLY would've snagged one, bought a shirt instead. :-P

On another note, I met/spoke with all the members after the show, except for Sean. All really cool and down to earth dudes. I can see why Chuck liked them. They spoke about Chuck after nearly every song, and showed a documentary-type thing about him in the middle of their set. Really amazing show and affected me on so many personal levels.

Oh yeah, Max was the PERFECT guy for the job. No questions asked. He even kinda looks like Chuck, lol.

Glad you had the chance to talk to them! I only managed to chat for a bit with Eric Greif, and he's just an amazing person. Total bro, he even hooked up a kid with free VIP after the kid came up to him and asked for his autograph.

UPDATE: EXHUMED added to April 26 and 27 dates!
That Worcester show is gonna be very interesting. Tell me how it goes, Subrick! You should write a review. :-D

Oh bummer I was looking forward to hearing you guys play. I've actually been listening to your stuff pretty regularly online. Are you guys going to make it out to the show tomorrow night anyways? Also any one else going to be there tomorrow?

The Chicago death to all show must be selling terribly, cause Ive seen like 7 or 8 different people/pages giving out a bunch free tickets.

I know some friends going, but we just jumped on a ...like house show type thing next saturday, so we are gonna practice tomorrow during the Death show instead to get our new song done and ready.
