Sargeist - A Spell To Awaken The Temple
Another of my "must-see-live-before-I-die" bands. They're playing the Darkness Rising festival this year. But that's in Serbia. Sigh.

Ow yes, It's an amazing album. It's definitely a grower though. I was kinda underwhelmed after the first listen, but after a couple of spins you really start to notice those cool, subtle guitar lines swirling around eachother. The production also really helps with this. It's clean and spacious, and it makes every instrument a integral part of the music. I would even say it's better than A Thin Shell, but I'd really have to listen to it some more.

Listening to, also, October Tide - Our Constellation

It's a modification of a section Gustav Holst's "Jupiter", with added lyrics about Valhalla. It kicks an inordinate amount of ass.

NP: Bolt Thrower - No Guts, No Glory

Haven't listened to the Mercenary album in ages, but I'm really enjoying it. Frankly, I'm a late-career Bolt Thrower fan, through and through.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels its better than "A Thin Shell". I said it to my friends and they all reacted like I was losing it. I agree with you on the effects of the production, it was very well done. Props to the new vocalist too, he did an outstanding job.

Np : Katalepsy - Autopsychosis
I'm not the biggest fan of Brutal Death but this is a very enjoyable album. Heavy stuff

I'm listening to some of Giant X's album I, made by Rock 'n' Rolf and his main man Peter Jordan. It sounds okay, nothing particularly special, but not bad either. A pretty solid/what you've come to expect German heavy metal album. What I'm finding weird is how they made something like this, but right before made something so utterly terrible in Running Wild's Shadowmaker. Blah, its baffling.

Before I was into metal coheed and cambria was my favorite band, I have listen to and own their first four albums (expect their first album, didn't care for that one) and still listen to them every once in awhile, but haven't listen to their latest albums yet, I guess I will have to now.

Both the new albums are worth getting man... brilliant.

After Year of the Black Rainbow I gave up on them, but they have bounced back in a MASSIVE way, but I must warn you that both Ascension and Decension are very Pop-y. Just in the best way possible.

I just started listening to stuff from their last 2 albums off of youtube. So far I like it a lot. I haven't listening to anything off of year of the black rainbow yet, but probably will listen to it soon to build my own opinion on it.

October Tide - Watching the Drowners

In my completely blind and subjective opinion upon hearing this band for the first time, their newest album is, so far, their best by a long shot.

I didn't care much for YotBR, which is the only C&C album I'd heard, but I'm listening to this now and I'm enjoying it a lot. Pretty awesome pop/prog rock. :nods:

Also Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow is pretty awesome too, only The Second Stage Turbine Blade and Yotbr are not that good.

I like it. Sounds like...Graveyard. Binah sounds like Graveyard. I like both. Nice OSDM with that patented Swedeath HM-2 sound. :)

^^I'm right there with you.
Mgła - With Hearts Toward None III

This song has not one, not two, but like three of the greatest black metal riffs all wrapped up in a single tune.

I really enjoyed the whole album. It had a unique atmosphere as if it black metal written by a wandering drifter. Also reminds me a bit of Peste Noire. Which I guess makes sense. Pretty sure Famine produced and mastered it.
