I am looking for some Melodic and Catchy Extreme Metal in the vein of later day Anaal Nathrakh.

Not interested if:
- The vocals are the same throughout all the songs.
(The more varied the vocals are the better.)
- The sound is raw, so called shit production.
(Good production is a must.)
- The musicians can't play their instruments.

I can't see how this anything like what I am looking for. If you had specified which albums to check out etc, maybe I have overseen it.

Some of these are pretty obvious, but then again this kind of stuff is sorta semi-mainstream in a lot of cases:

The Black Dahlia Murder:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0UOOIsMtjo
I FUCKING LOVE THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER. Don't listen to haters man, this fucking band slays. Catchy and fuck, melodic as fuck. Fast, heavy, fun and at times very dynamic. Their early albums are more basic, but Nocturnal, Deflorate and Ritual are more diverse. Nocturnal is my personal favorite because of the Dissection-esque vibe, but Ritual might be their best album. Certainly their most complex.

Abysmal Dawn: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hAMR1iSeX8
Super fucking catchy and melodic Technical Death Metal. Just solid, fun stuff.

Aeon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAR2thuvMA8 Defaced Creation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKiZWyCULp0
Defaced Creation essentially became Aeon. Both bands are melodic, catchy Swedish Death Metal.

Blood Red Throne: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSlu3RUMcg8
Not as vocally dynamic as you are looking for(sorry), but very melodic and catchy.

Admittedly, none of the rec's I made sound anything like Anaal Nathrakh. The problem is that really, no other band sounds like AN. And most of the bands that do sound somewhat similar(Male Misandria comes to mind) are not in anyway "catchy or melodic" and focus more on the Blackened Grindcore aspect.

What your looking for exactly may not exist, but those are good rec's if you just want "catchy and melodic" Extreme Metal.

I don't think I've ever heard anything similar to Anaal Nathrakh, but they tend to be enough of Anaal Nathrakh for me anyway, so I guess I've never really looked too deep.

You might want to give Dave Cunt's side project, Mistress a go, their album The Glory Bitches of Doghead is probably the closest thing I can think of. Granted, they are more grindcore oriented and there isn't really so much diversity as in Anaal Nathrakh, but it's a brilliant album nonetheless. I see The Axis of Perdition being the closest related artist to them on MA. I know nothing of that band, but it's worth a shot.

Some people might want to shoot me for this, but sticking to "melodic, catchy, extreme, diverse vocals, good productions and competent musicians", I'd say you could do a lot worse than the last decade and more of Enslaved who I assume you know of.

I need to think about this some more, I'll try to come back with better rec's later. Good luck so long.

I'm just listening to Daath, seems like they kinda fit the desciption; extreme metal with clean production and a lot of melodic and technical hooks played by guys that know how to play their instruments, only the vocals are kinda monotonous...

Try Nierty. I've only heard Acolytes of the Descent, so maybe try that one first, though production is quite murky. This is as close as I've heard to Anaal Nathrakh musically.

I posted a thread asking for similar bands to Nathrakh, and Onesizefitspatrick came back with these guys. Still have yet to pick up their album, but the track itself was solid. Not sure which song it was, so here's one at random below from the album.

Rage Nucléaire - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSj7E0kx6BI

Nochielo, I'll check out Nierty, cheers for the rec.

Hey, no problem. I will admit the rec is a bit of a stretch, but the elements are definitely there. I'd say its even more similar to Rage Nucléaire, now that you mention it.
