So it has been decided that the name of the compilation will be Metallum Compilcious: The Corrupted Files of the Unloved, Spat Upon, and Generally Unpleasant Souls

if you have no idea what I'm talking about please view this thread.

Now we will move onto submissions. We will take any metal, or even punk to some degree. For now you can submit as many songs as you want, but we'd recommend a 9 minute minimum to allow everyone to get their songs on this. The deadline for submissions will be Saturday, February 16th. You will post your music here, preferably via bandcamp or sound cloud, and the judges, fataljudgement and myself will review and decide by then what songs will and wont be on the compilation. We will also listen to everyone Else's opinions as well, but we will make the final decision. Now then, start submitting!

and to state the obvious, that's for listening, if any of my stuff ends up on the compilation it'll go for free, no one will have to buy it haha.

Too bad the deadline is so early though, I think it'd be really cool to participate, but I don't want to submit a song under my username which I didn't actually record on (i.e a song by my band which was released or recorded before I joined).

I don't think this is going to be the one and only... unless it becomes a big failure clusterfuck.

Sounds cool, we should be done with our new album by the middle of this year and maybe I can get a submission in on a future version of this. In the meantime I guess I'll just submit a song from our most recent release, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGdGomBTGsc

If you guys decide to grace us with an appearance on the compilation, I'll pass you the .wav files but in the meantime I guess this should suffice for listening purposes :)

I think it is a great idea. Should be recording my track with the guys in a couple of weeks - this will be our first recording for distribution, so even if I don't make the cut, it'll be good to see what you guys think.

Don't think I'll have anything ready in time, but definitely want in on this in the future.

I guess my post was deleted in the crash yesterday. No biggie.

At any rate, here's my submission for my band Dark Sacrament.

The question I posed yesterday before the crash was is there a money contribution requirement? From what I gather from the other thread is that chosen submissions have to spread this by making copies on their own (some suggested Kunaki-an awesome service-but we will likely go the CDr/photocopy route), but is there any communal money contribution required to participate?

Pretty much we are going to make it so that everyone can download a zip file with the songs, and a cover/ booklet they can print out in black and white, then burn the songs to cd's. This way every can make as many copies as they want, and as many people can participate as they want.

The deadline isn't any comfortable, I'd like to record a song with a friend of mine, but anyway, is it about recording a song then submitting it or previously recorded thing ?
Anyway, this one was recorded and mixed like 2 months ago :

and here's a download link from mediafire :

P.S. sorry I don't have time to create a new bandcamp or soundcloud for one song only, I hope you guys have a listen we've put some effort especially in mixing/mastering

Morbid Footnote - Death/Grind
my online (members in Amsterdam and Baltimore USA - met through this forum) band "morbid footnote" 's new recordings won't be finished in time, so maybe take one song from the old demo?
http://morbidfootnote.bandcamp.com/ I suggest "mandibular prognathism "

Primal Order - Punk/Rock/Metal
also please take one song from my active local band (Primal Order)'s upcoming split EP
http://www.primalorder.avorym.nl/primalsplitnew.mp3 <- I suggest the first song "tears of gold" or the third song "Come on baby, be my baby"
Let me know if you want a .wav file or some other format.

thanks everybody in advance, and good job organizing stuff like this.

Maarten

Hmmm, why not! Heres some from one of my bands. This song has by far the cleanest production that we've recorded so probably would be best bet...

"Biopsy" - Nucleus - Death Metal
https://soundcloud.com/dave-muntean/biopsy-nucleus

We have a few more songs recorded with a slightly different sounding production...this ones a little less clean and polished, as the series of tracks was recorded over a shorter period of time.

"Echoes from the Abyss" - Nucleus

We liked this idea so much that we are willing to participate in it with two of our songs:

->Alpthraum - Event Revorn

->Alpthraum - Nøthing

You can download them for free via Soundcloud, you shouldn't have any problem with that. These songs are not the album version (they have a longer intro in the original Chronophage full-lenght).

If you have any doubts or problems, PM us and we'll get back to you.

Ours worked out to be a pretty rough mix, so I understand if it isn't up to the standard of the compilation, and if so we'll just have to try harder/a different song for next time :). Hopefully it gets the point across for the most part, though.

Today is the final day, so within the next few days a thread should be posted with the tracks that will be included, as well as ideas for album art and details about how we will distribute everything.

No need, I'm bout to go to dinner, and honestly won't have the time to distribute this in any way in the coming month. I'm kinda swamped now with recordings going on.
