This is a rather specific request. I am looking for a certain type of neo-folk or forest folk even if you would like to call it. The music is generally relaxed and haunting. Ethereal is another good way to describe it. It is mainly just soft acoustic strumming and the voice. There can be traditional percussion instruments used as well as flutes and lots of nature soundclips. I am just trying to get the best description that I can. I am not saying that the music has to have all those things but in general the type of music that I am looking for contains those attributes. Thanks in advance guys.

BANDS THAT I ALREADY KNOW

Arrowwood
Birch book
Green Mistletoe
Of Wand and Moon
Wardruna
Death in June
TwinSisterMoon
Joy of Nature
Nechochwen
Sangre de Muerdago
River
Musk Ox
Naudhiz
Ruhr Hunter
Cedar Spirits
Nest
Stonebreath
Fearthainne
Alethes
The Elemental Chrysalis

Now I know i just listed off a shit load of groups but it was done in an effort to weed out the projects that I already know.

Thank you.

Try Hexvessel, their first album its pure beauty, their second one from 2012 makes great justice to their quality but i liked it a little less.

Fire + Ice come to mind. Started by Ian Read after his departure from Sol Invictus (another great neofolk act. I don't think it really fits this rec, but you should check them out anyway). His debut especially has a fairly prominent ethereal atmosphere.

Sonne Hagal and Nebelung are a couple German neofolk acts that come to mind.

Backworld are another worth checking out.

And lastly, for something more medieval themed, there's The Moon & the Nightspirit, and The Soil Bleeds Black's Quintessence.

maybe not "woodsy" or etheral enough but chances are goo you might like the
band called Changes.

here are some songs to check out:

Furthermore the great band Solblot is sth you possibly could dig.
Quite similar to OTWATM (and even feat. Kim on some songs)

Oh, and the album "Destrunken" by Neun Welten should also suit your taste, I guess.
And is Tenhi too obvious?
