Devin Townsend - Terrorizer

Wow! This is kind of what I thought Deconstruction was going to sound like before it came out. And this sounds nothing like that album. Still awesome though.

Before The Rain - You...My Ruin
Haha. I didn't know this song would play next in this album. How apt on this day!
Musically, this is melodic death/doom from Portugal.

Manilla Road - Stand Your Ground

This song is sort of like Mysterium's version of Open the Gates. It's the most instantly gratifying track on the album anyway.

Cruachan - Blood on the Black Robe

There aren't many albums in my collection which have gotten better and better each listen in the way that this one has.

Stratovarius - Will the Sun Rise?

This sounds like a different band than the one we have now. If not for the vocals it pretty much would be, but even those are very different - the types of vocal melodies are like night and day between this and Nemesis/Elysium.

That's a funny way to spell Perfect Man...

NP: Mercenary - 11 Dreams

This album continues to dominate. It's the absolute epitome in their catalogue when it comes to overall songwriting and riff-delivery, not to mention how ludicrously catchy the vocal melodies are. SHARPEN THE EDGES!!

Would you believe I actually haven't heard that in full? Or some of their other really old ones. I really should get on it though.

Stratovarius - Uncertainty

Atmospheric, oceanic tune...nice and crushing.
