Just finished another two listens of Manilla Road - The Grey God Passes

Sounds pretty good when I turn it up. Makes me wonder what bitrate the song is on the SKR BandCamp.

This is awesome, and the dense, murky and gravelly production works well giving it a overwhelming sense of weight and dread.

Deathspell Omega -Drought - The Crackled Book of Life

Not only was this one of my favorite EP's last year, but it has one of my favorite instrumentals of all time. That catchy opening bit with the distorted bass slides gets me everytime. The second half of the track explores territory Deathspell had yet to enter. The way these guys transition through riffs and sections is just mind blowing and has become a defining characteristic of their sound. Cant wait to see what they come up with next.

First time listening to this. This is already up there with Jag Panzer, Savatage, and Satan of my favorite heavy metal albums. This just rules. It's albums like this that actually make me want to get into more power metal.
