My Dying Bride - The Thrash of Naked Limbs

Early My Dying Bride is the shit. Excellent creepy doom/death metal here.

Tiamat - The Scarred People

I still can't stop listening to this. It's a grower of the highest order, and might be sliding up to my #1 position for album of 2012. My Tiamat obsession has stopped me from listening to much stuff from 2013 thus far, though Attacker's latest (which has been kicking my ass the last couple days) might put a stop to that.

A wonderful album - apparently they have a new one on the way, too.

NP: Asphyx - Deathhammer

I've not listened to much Asphyx, but this is great - I'll definitely be working through the discography.

Yeah, their style of death metal is quite popular here. I guess it's because of bands like Hail of Bullets and Asphyx. Martin van Drunen seems to be one of our most valuable national treasures. Never really cared for him, though. :/

Noumena - Burden Of Solacement

I've heard several Bolt Thrower albums but can't get much fun out of it. I like death metal (especially the plain and simple old school kind) but yeah.

Also Martin van Drunen is quite overrated. I don't care what bands he's getting involved with but he'll never top Pestilence's Malleus Maleficarum. :D

NP: Savage - Let it Loose

This really rips.

1) I get why people are so fucking nuts over Bolt Thrower, but they don't really do much for me. I find Those Once Loyal to be badass in many ways though.

2) BLASPHEMER! OFF WITH HIS HEAD! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!

Iron Savior - Tyranny of Steel, off Battering Ram

I do like me a fair amount of Iron Savior, but they tend to be a bit too samey for their own good. This song though..... It's bloody awesome. The perfect amount of Maiden influenced melodies, Priesty sharp riffing, and some modern Helloween vibes mixed together.
