Yesterday i was playing my Epiphone Les Paul Studio with the e string tuned really low. i kept on playing the riff to Iron Tusk by Mastodon while bending very hard near the first fret and then my nut broke. im wondering if you guys have any advice. should i get it repaired, buy a new nut or just buy a new guitar? thanks guys

Have a new nut put on. A nut breaking isn't the end of the world or that expensive to fix.

You can get a new nut for a few dollars, if you're coordinated enough to play guitar then you can replace it. It's a fairly simple and common repair, you can google it and find more than enough info to figure out how to do it. You can get it done for under $10 for the nut and a bottle of glue if you don't have one.

So you busted your nuts, eh? You should get a doctor to check that out
