Hey guys,

Im requesting two kinds of recommendations.

First id like more bands that sound like Dying Fetus - Descend in to Depravity. I really like the catchy riffs and the changes in the tempo of the songs (i love the transition of the breakdowns into the fast parts and vice versa). (for example 13:50-14:10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-d7hFx-QVk but the album is full of these parts).

Secondly im looking for black metal that has tenor(like) vocals (preferred mixed with regular black metal vocals, i like the contrast). Such as Gorgoroth - Antichrist, Gorgoroth - Satan Prometheus (only song i like of that album, cause of the vocals ;)), Anaal Nathrakh - A Methaphor of the Dead (so it doesnt have to be pure BM).

Thanks in advance!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbtrKMiKUuw God Seed, which incidently is the vocalist you referenced twice, Gaahl from Gorgoroth. Absolute killer album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WuogdSHBRLk Skinless has always reminded me of Dying Fetus and I do believe they shared a drummer.

About the black metal, is Borknagar too obvious?

You need some Dyscarnate in your life, the British Dying Fetus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8pT4xAh35h0

@osborn89419 Skinless is great, thanks. God Seed doesnt sound bad, but it doesnt have the tenor(like) vocals im looking for. And no it's Pest that performs the vocals on Antichrist and Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt (containing Satan Prometheus), not Gaahl.

@Nochielo it's not too obvious for me :). I certainly like it, but they are not really the tenor vocals im looking for. Thanks anyway!

@GravityLapse i certainly do need some Dyscarnate in my life, sounds great thanks!

Thank you for setting me straight on the vocals, I ignorantly assumed Gaahl was the vocalist for all Gorgoroth releases. He must have been out judging fashion shows then...
