edit: speaking of funny sounding names
in west auckland there are two roads fairly near each other, one called waimumu and the other called waikaukau
i'm serious, look them up.

One of my favourites from the south island was a town called Ohai

The missus found it hilarious.

I love me some strong, freshly brewed coffee. We have a drip filter with a timer, so we can be woken to aroma of a piping hot brew awaiting us in the kitchen. I prefer darker roasts, with good robust flavour with milk and one sugar, and is the way I have to start my day.

Was. ZING!!!!

On subject, I've only had Puertorrican coffee, collected and processed in my hometown or the general area. Usually with milk and just a bit of sugar. Not to brag but we have (arguably) the best coffee on earth, most natives think other coffee tastes like total shit, but I really have no idea.

But you've only had your own coffee!

Colombia and Guatemala export very good coffee too.

I like my coffee like I like my metal: mixed with benzene.

I know it comes across as contradictory but I'm just pointing out what some coffee lovers have said and I'm kind of proud of that, hence the awkward phrasing.

Getting back on track....lol

I find it odd that the Dark Italian roast I've been drinking has such a low level of a aroma to it. Usually dark roasts are very strong smelling. Anyone else ever have a coffee like that? Is mine just not fresh? lol

That's odd. I'd say it may be getting stale, but I heard that moisture can make it less aromatic. Don't quote me on it though.

Hahaha I'm quoting you right now. The irony. lol

It's probably not moisture, as I live in the desert. The date on the package was good, but I think I must have gotten a pack that wasn't too fresh somehow. If I buy another package, I guess I'll know for sure.
