Not so long ago norwegians Quadrivium, with some new members and (great) guests in the line-up, released second full-lenght called "Methocha"!
After few seconds you'll realize that it is major improvement over the debut album and every Arcturus fan will hear big similarity of Methocha
to Arcturus, even in their peak, however I think they dont deserve to be called only Arcturus rip-off, because this album have too much qualities imo
to be called as such. I am quite surprised of no mention of this album in anyone's, at least, wider top albums of 2012.
First 2 minutes of song "Dead Syphon Focus" are sooo fucking indescribably stellar that I am still playing it like crazy.
Fans of Arcturus, Age of silence, Winds and similar acts, definitely give it a try and share your opinion.

I like them from the name alone. By the Greek divisions of the seven sciences (into the Trivium and the Quadrivium), Music was placed into the Quadrivium, along with math, physics, and I forget what the last was. The other band got it wrong and that was my first clue they sucked.

I'll be sure to check this one out when I get the chance, though. The description aounds interesting.

I sampled some tracks. They were alright, though fell short of performing on the same level of memorable quality that Acturus did.

I heard their album. Way too similar to Aspera, but without any redeemable quality. I'll listen this, since I remember the vocals were at least good enough.
