Celtic Frost - Eternal Summer

It's good, granted, but I don't understand why the album has a 94% rating. I'm guessing it takes some time to savour.

Sure, To Mega Therion is indeed an acquired taste. But it is also one of the most amazing albums ever in my opinion. The way it's almost "proto-everything" gets me every time. The thrashy/deathy/blackish/whatever edges all colliding... Man do I love it. Guess I should go listen to it again for the millionth time. :D

Dio - Sacred Heart

Got The Last In Line CD the other day for next to nothing and now I have the first four. Seems like it's time to remember the "king of rock'n'roll"!

:np: Nominon - Monumentomb

Death metal, done in a totally no frills, non bullshit manner. It's the kind of tried and true formula that gives all those hipster fags menstrual pains.

Obituary - "Set in Stone" - World Demise

I have had the biggest Obituary binge imaginable this past month (almost, drone trumped mine awhile ago). World Demise is a superb album though, could possibly be my second favorite Obituary album overall just behind Cause of Death. I hear a touch of industrial influences on this album in some of the songs, and I love it.

I like it too.

Darkthrone - Leave No Cross Unturned (also)

Suddenly have high expectations for this album. If the rest is like this, it will be a fucking hellride. Can't really see the critisism on the vocals, I think they fit. I'm on hot coals here. This and the new Manilla Road! It's going to be some year for a (old school) metal lover!

Darkthrone - Leave No Cross Unturned

Wtf... Darkthrone what have you degenerated into?
I'm feeling so sick suddenly..

np: Darkthrone - Skald Av Satans Sol

Ah, that is so extremely much better. Fuck! Call me a reactionary but I'm really missing old Darkthrone, even mid-time Darkthrone, especially after listening to the new era shit.

Anacrusis - Frigid Bitch

This is so thoroughly borderline black-thrash - I'd never noticed before. Very Celtic Frost.
