As a CD reviewer I love discovering new bands to listen to and review, but I find it somewhat annoying trudging through all of the bands on the site with 2012 releases, so what would be an ace idea to implement would be to have a tab showing what band updates were made, so where you have the updates tab already, state what was updated

Anyone else agree?

Here you can see the last updates.
That might give you an idea of how many updates are made here per day. That won't help you at all with your issue.
Or did I understand you wrong?

I'd suggest using the advanced search to find albums released in a certain period of time.

Problem is the updates don't visibly show you what updates were made, hence the problem. Heh I used advanced search last december for 2012 albums, took days to finish

Each band, album, label and artist page has "View update history" link where you can see what updates were made, if that's what you mean.

Nope, I'm referring to this web page - http://www.metal-archives.com/archives/ ... y/modified

Would be beneficial if it shows what was updated

That's not going to happen, sorry. Even if I added that, if you want to discover new releases, it would be a much worse way of going about it than using this...

a fairly agreed upon date [of the beginning of metal] is 1969. Metal is almost 25 years old
