Encircling Sea - Transcend (Edit) from their new album A Forgotten Land.

It appears this band has moved away from the one-song format of their last two albums. By the edits of the two songs on bandcamp it also seems they're focusing a bit more on the black metal aspect of their sound. Which is fine by me. I really like what I am hearing and will plan to get this album as soon as I can.

Immolation - Breathing the Dark

Really getting into Shadows in the Light lately. I didn't used to like it as much as other Immolation albums but it gets better on every listen.

Metallica - Battery

It must be like 9-10 years since I listened to this record. Was curious to know if it still holds. And it holds, atleast partially! The next one to try is propably Ride the Lightning, which I think (or atleast thought) to be their best. I used to know these albums from start to finish, and now it's all returning to me again. Anyone who says Kirk Hammet is a bland solo guitarist is out of his head :D

This band is just so masterful in general. A class apart.

(2004) Drudkh - Autumn Aurora is an amazing album!

I was listening to (2006) Delorean - Into The Plateau before I went to have lunch.
They are from my city.

Angel Dust - The Temple of the King (Rainbow cover), off Holy Dio

I usually don't like cover albums, but this one is pretty decent, and some of the covers are fairly awesome. This one in particular jumped out at me, in how Angel Dust turned this beautiful, simple, folky song into a full blown power metal epic. I still prefer the original, but this is a great adaptation of a terrific song.

Avantasia - The Toy Master

The three most recent albums are like a movie turned into a rock/metal project...good stuff, especially the lyrics.

Absu - ...of Celtic Fire, We Are Born incl. "Terminus (...In the Eyes of Ioldanach)"

Ho, that's Stone Of Destiny! No wonder that's the best song on Tara if it was written for TTSOC
