It is only allowed to do reviews and things like that in English? I've never seen any review in any other language so I don't know if its forbidden to write stuff in Spanish for example.

From the rules: "ENGLISH PLEASE: We really shouldn't have to explain that... An inside joke, a quote or a small reference in another language than English is OK if it's not more than that, but the reviews must be available to any other visitor."

English only, yes. To be quite honest, though, your English seems pretty solid based on what you just wrote, so you shouldn't worry about your grammar not being up-to-snuff.

Ok thanks for the answers.
To be honest I think it's very exclusionary this thing of "English-Only Reviews". I think in my similars and compatriots, people who only speak spanish because english is not common here. They have all the rights to read reviews of their local bands in their own native language, this is unfair. But don't worry, I will obey the rules ;)
Oh, and thanks for the compliment about my English, I try not to use translators, except when I face a word (exclusionary and compliment for example) which I don't know how to say it in English :)

It's really just a logistics thing. If the site started accepting reviews in other languages then there would need to be hired a whole legion of new moderators to read and accept those reviews. I think this is the main issue with accepting other languages.

I believe this video explains the site's policy in further details:

Why do they have "the right"? I want to read reviews in French, it's my native language; am I entitled to get reviews in French from any review website? If you want to read reviews in Spanish, go on other sites where such reviews exist, I'm sure they're out there. And if they don't.... make your own site and post them there, it's not very difficult.

For logistics reason, this site is English only. And FYI, the two founders and owners of Metal-Archives are native French speakers.
