I'm looking for sludge/crust bands that are similar to the bands listed in the thread title. Feedback, clean sections, dissonance, and of course, sludge.

Sea of Deprivation is some good Dystopia worship. Cursed is a great crust/hardcore band from Canada and their third (and last) album features a prominent amount of sludge. Agrimonia incorporate sludge and crust into their sound, as well as other influences. Fall of Efrafa have a fair amount of both in their sound.

Great thread.

As for the Dystopia part of the request, this is all I could think of.

Wake up on Fire. members of nux vomica. 2 drummers.

Negative Standards. Not as crusty as you or I might like, but it's a good mixture of hardcore, sludge, and bits of black metal. Has a very Dystopia vibe though (dismal, suffocating). Click around their bandcamp

If you're cool with just some HHIG worship check out

As far as bands that sound like His Hero is Gone... they have only sections of sludge i would recomment Torchrunner and the Secret.

This group is influenced by Dystopia and HHiG. Check them out! Quite harsh and dark shit.
