Death - Flesh and the Power It Holds

Not my favorite Death album (that'd be Human), but TSoP is still damn good.

Sarcófago - Nightmare

Just listened to 'Deathcrush' (better than I remembered!), and then I just had to hear 'I.N.R.I.'! :metal:

Manilla Road - Mark of the Beast, off the album of the same name

Manilla Road with amped up psychedelic tendencies? Yes please!

Black Sabbath - Lonely is the Word, off Heaven and Hell

One of my favorite Sabbath tunes, and one of the most underrated ones too. Iommi reaches for the heavens with his soloing here.

Outworld - I, Thanatos

Man, why couldn't the whole album in this vein. Most songs on this album have their moments but are full of dull, lifeless riffs. This song is absolutely amazing however - the grinding riffs, atmospheric keyboards and soaring vocals combine perfectly.

Actually, I find that whole album to be very boring, I, Thanatos included. There's just nothing that jumps at me save for Kelly's vocals. Now that I think about it, I have never heard Kelly being backed by actually interesting music (Beyond Twilight's novelty wore off rather quickly). Quite the shame, really, because Carpenter is an insane singer.

Fozzy - Wormwood, off Chasing the Grail

Against all odds, I like this.
