Hell yeah! I found them out just couple of months ago and they totally mesmerized me with "The Seer". At first I was a bit hesitant (probably because I wasn't able handle the mightiness of the concept) but it grew on me after few listens and eventually turned out to be my favorite release of 2012, heh.

Yeah I can't tell if I like the seer or soundtracks for the blind more yet, the seer is easily my favorite album of 2012 also. The live dvd that my copy of the seer came with is really cool too, very good quality.

What does it look like? I think I have a copy of Resurrection - "Embalmed Existence" which I believe was printed by Amazon. I'm not sure because it was given to me as a gift. It really sucks too, because it is a CD-R and my CD player cannot play it...

For Christmas I got these CD's:

Taake - "Nattestid Ser Porten Vid"
Asphyx - "The Rack"
King Diamond - "The Eye"
Dark Fortress - "Tales from Eternal Dusk"
Bathory - "Bathory"

I have already listened to all of them: they are all awesome. The only one I was a tiny bit disappointed by was Taake. It was a good album but perhaps will need a few more spins to really sink in.

Cover art is blurry and has a border around it. No back & inside art, only a tracklist. It says printed by Amazon on top of the barcode. Not really a fan of these.

PART 2:

Savage Grace - Master of Disguise/Dominatress
Oz - Fire in the Brain
The Lamp of Thoth - Cauldron of Witchery
Agent Steel - Skeptics Apocalypse

It's my mission to order only classics with this giftcard, stuff I'm gonna obsess over for years. So far I feel like I'm fucking killin' it.

Never heard Oz but a lot of people I trust have trumped up this album. Same deal for Savage Grace (although I am a huge Omen fan so there's that connection). I tried to order Skeptics Apocalypse from Amazon years ago and got Unstoppable Force instead. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen again.

And I snagged the Lamp of Thoth album cheap because they had it wrongly labelled as "Lamb of Thoth". I'm on a mission to collect everything/anything I can associated with this group. Simon's oddness really resonates with me.

Years back I tried to order Skeptics Apocalypse from ebay, realized I had mistakenly ordered Unstoppable Force instead, and then the seller ended up mistakenly sending me Skeptics Apocalypse anyway. Sometimes two wrongs do make a right!

TONY! You were supposed to be using that sale to get a super cheap copy of Quicksand Dream! I hope they didn't sell out on you. It's such a stunning album.

Good work on the Faustcoven though. You've probably already heard it but that should definitely be right in your wheelhouse.

And I guess this may be more relevant here than in the FFA:

That makes for two absolutely horrifying things I discovered today, so I want all of you to google Waco Jesus' cover art in retaliation!

Haven't made purchases recently, or better said I've been trying to stop buying CDs so regularly. Still I'm tempted to lose it and buy Devil Doll's entire discography for 75€, shipping included. A decision will emerge in the next few days, eh.

Because while Amazon.com does list it on there, it is discreet enough that it's not idiot-proofed. This one was a gift, but I did accidentally order a copy of Root's The Book like this earlier this year. I'm not as upset about that one because it's harder to find for a cheap price.

Did find this, though, as an FYI.

Quote:
CreateSpace works with many of the leading music labels, television networks, film studios, and other distributors to make these titles available to Amazon.com customers. All products are manufactured from original source materials (e.g., for audio products, uncompressed CD-quality audio).

Still, why would someone want to pay for a CD-R copy of anything? Getting a well made bootleg because the album costs hundreds of dollars I can sympathize with but getting a CD-R? But then again some people will think this is a good thing...

Just as a side-note, and for those who are interested, Xtreem does have a lot of stock available again and it's holding a 20% discount on goods.

@Shamancus - With a disclaimer like that you're sure I'm not ever going to click it.

Beyond the fact that it is listed as a CD-R on the website, it is not readily apparent when looking at the disc. It's not blue or anything. I don't know anything about CD matrices in order to comment on that.

Beyond the fact that it is listed as a CD-R on the website, it is not readily apparent when looking at the disc. It's not blue or anything. I don't know anything about CD matrices in order to comment on that.

Been said before that those are probably sourced from mp3 files, not a lossless source. Can you check that? (Audacity, for instance, choose a track, Solarfall is great, and check the waveform, you can send a screenshot via pm so that we don't go offtopic).

So... is it silver? What I mean is if it's pro-printed or not. That would break I don't know how many international copyright laws.

It would be cool to have some waveforms and pics to actually know how they look and sound like, so if you can please do as japc says. Make a dedicated thread so that everyone can see what that's all about.

As for me... I gave in and ordered the Devil Doll pack so I'm going to start 2013 with a new discography to battle with! :p
