http://subcide-webzine.blogspot.com/

After several years I decided to start this thing again. The 3rd and last print issue of Subcide Zine came out in 1996. I gave up on completing the 4th issue sometime around 1999, after the contacts I'd made from doing the Zine allowed me to develop into an underground tour promoter (I brought Impaled Nazarene, Brutal Truth, Incantation, Pungent Stench and a number of others to New Zealand), which is something that has also since gone on hold. The idea behind this though is not to dominate every spare minute my entire (and now completely different) life, but to allow me to occasionally type my thoughts on music I've been listening to as well as to post the occasional interview by bands who have impressed me. I'm also hoping to post PDF files of the original Zines sometime soon. This will be updated as and when I feel like it.

Ahh Sorry about that. Wasn't quite sure what constituted promotion. But Cheers anyway.

Awesome that you got that! Apparently the band were pretty pleased to see that I'd put that out and all got copies. Am considering doing more special editions if the right shows come up.

Today marks the second anniversary of the February 22 Christchurch earthquake. I've decided I'd mark it with a positive note. In December 2011 I posted this interview with with Sinistrous Diabolus: http://subcide-webzine.blogspot.co.nz/2 ... rview.html Question number 4 asked Kris about his experiences of the Earthquake. Accompanying his answer I posted some Youtube footage from immediately after the quake. During the first clip between 3:30 and 3:35 you see some disturbing footage of a foot sticking out from under a rug with a large slab of building on top of it. The assumption is that this person is dead. I copped a minor amount of flack for posting this at the time from some of my Christchurch readers.
However in todays news it turns out that said foot belonged to one 'Olivia Cruickshank' who survived the ordeal and is alive with us today. You can read her story in the link below.
