The remaster sounds fantastic, I'd definitely be interested too.

I would be interested in a CD version also as I no longer have the equipment to play vinyls (had to get rid of it last year when I moved =/).

Also their was an interview where Mirai spoke about the Cacophonous deal, I'll quote it here:
Quote:
Sigh was one of many groups tied down by legal issues with the scam-record label Cacophonous, and did not own all the rights to their music. But Sigh has recently announced several re-issues from their back catalogue, including a remaster of Scorn Defeat and extra-special vinyl editions of Infidel Art and Ghastly Funeral Theatre. Does this mean the band is once again in control of all of their catalogue?

Mirai: Yes, The Crypt, who is going to release Infidel Art, Ghastly Funeral Theatre and Hail Horror Hail on vinyl, went over our contract with Craphonous and proved that the contract itself was against the international law. So far, many labels tried to get the license from them and failed, but this time finally things are moving forward.

Hopefully you guys can manage something similar to get some awesome re-releases of their Cacophonous era releases.

Thanks for the info about these chinese re-releases. I'm really interested in those because i collect Sigh stuff and bonus demo/live tracks sounds great. Legally official or not, if band has approved them (just like Venom tribute cass and Eastern Force of Evil CD) thats enough for me. Its finally time to shatter the tyranny of Cacophonous once and for all!

i'm disappointed they didn't go with a different color scheme, now how am I supposed distinguish between the remaster and the re-remaster without putting them on?

It's possible that Sigh personally preferred keeping the blue color scheme. It is their album, after all :P

The inclusion of the words "special edition" under the title might help. Or the fact that it's a 2xCD digipack (I believe) instead of a single jewel case.

But hey, Blood Music dude, since we're only a week away, could you reveal the whole track listing for us? I'm curious about all those bonus tracks and whatnot. Thanks again for everything you're doing!

Hey thanks all ! Sorry we did not change the color, we tried about 5 different color schemes (purple, yellow, green, etc.) and none of them looked as nice as this one. It says Special Edition on the cover and spine of both the 2xLP and 2xCD. Plus, this comes in a 6-panel digipack.

The sound of the record is very clearly different than the original, and it has the catalog number on the CD. You definitely won't mistake it.

Track listing is as follows:

CD 1 -
Pale Monument
In A Drowse
The Enlightenment Day
Confession To Be Buried
The Tranquilizer Song
Midnight Sun
Silver Universe
Gavotte Grim
Messiahplan

CD 2
Demos / September 20th, 2004
In A Drowse (demo)
Silver Universe (demo)
Confession To Be Buried (demo)
The Tranquilizer Song (demo)
The Enlightenment Day (demo)
Pale Monument (demo)
Gavotte Grim (demo)
Messiahplan (demo)

This is the initial track listing as intended for release during the demo stage.

Here are a couple more photos:

Smashed-color 2xLP ... 100 copies in USA/Canada -- 100 copies in Rest of the World

Remastered 2xCD ... 250 copies in USA/Canada -- 250 copies in Rest of the World

Did you get in touch with Cacophonous about reissuing their older stuff?

Never heard back from anyone ... that label is gone. The same thing has happened with 3 or 4 other classic labels. The people moved on and do not want to be contacted about metal. They were licensing as of a few years ago, but I've even spoken with those who've licensed from them and said they're lucky to have their licenses, Cacophonous does not respond anymore.

It's our first time doing hoodies, so we decided to play it safe.

Everything is live for pre-order!

My girlfriend sadly only had enough funds for a T-shirt and CD bundle, so hopefully the hoodies will last until I get off work and can put in an order myself, but if not, at least I will have something.

I understand the reasons for the limited pressings of everything, but holy crap what a bloodbath! In the future, will you consider doing second pressings of some of these releases for the people who missed out the first time?

Thanks a ton !

If we ever do a repress, it would never be the same edition, probably a more toned-down edition, but so far there are no repress editions planned !

I’m gonna pick up the vinyl. Would have loved to grab a sweatshirt, but damn $22 for shipping is a little steep.

Sorry ... that one is coming from Finland. The LPs are parked in the USA.

There is only ONE copy of it left on black 2xLP in USA. About 5 left here in Finland.

Would it at all be possible to see an actual picture of the hoodie?

I really want one, and the price seemed good, until I saw the shipping. So I just want to be able to see the quality a bit better with an actual photo before I drop the cash. Especially after the disappointing quality of the 'A Tribute to Venom' shirt(I know that wasn't you guys).

Kutulu, it's there as a placeholder, as we have been waiting for the order. The shirts are supposed to arrive today (I hope), so once it arrives, I'm happy to furnish photos of the hoodies and shirts.

Sorry about the shipping, Finnish bullshit.

How many fixes does it take for a Sigh remaster to get done right?

....the world may never know.

I would like the cd version, but the only way to pay is through Paypal, and I don't have a paypal account. I could open one, but I heard it takes a long time to get it verified. I suppose sending you the physical money is out of the question? :-P

Hate to go off topic, but are the maudlin of the Well reissues going to be restocked at some point? They sold out in a matter of months.

I may be in the minority here, but my favorite Sigh release was Hangman's Hymn. I picked up a copy while in Japan a few years ago, so I got a few bonus tracks. I would *love* to see this get some sort of deluxe vinyl treatment.

Hey IdiotFlesh -- motW vinyl or CD? We have a 5-CD Box Set still available. There are like 30 copies left. It has everything the band ever published.

--

BTW all -- there was a slight printing error on the shirts, so we are offing them at half price. There are less than half the hoodies left, once the hoodies are sold out, we're gonna donate the rest of the T-shirt stock to the homeless.

If you want a decent Sigh hoodie for 17,49. Contact us !

The vinyl is sold out everywhere except for 5 copies of the color left in USA.

I've been spinning this for a couple of days now. It sounds excellent. While not my favorite Sigh release, it definitely has its moments. But yeah, fantastic release non the less.

What was the misprint on the hoodies and shirts?

Look at the top left of the tree. There's a big black splotch rather than the branches. Not a totally shirt destroying misprint though.
