Been ages since I last posted here on the forums, but I decided to make a reappearance! Over the weekend I picked up these, all CDs:

Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along the Highway
Ministry - Sphinctour, I want to see Ministry live so bad, why didn't they play closer to Baltimore on their DeFiBriLaTouR. GAH!
Pentagram - Day of Reckoning, I can't wait to see these dudes again at this coming MDF! They kicked ass in 2010, and I expect no different in 2013.

A lot of that DVD can be found on YouTube, along with everything else in the world. But yeah, some of the live renditions of their classic songs on this tour are really good. Especially the extended version of "Lava" and "Hero" that are found on Sphinctour.

went and picked these up today, i'm about to ban myself from buying goat metal, unless i see some original blasphemy or something really wicked

Impetuous Ritual ‎– Relentless Execution Of Ceremonial Excrescence 2.5 goats, it's a bit slow, can i say that?! very portal-like too, who i'm not that into
Deiphago ‎– Satan Alpha Omega [deicide cover song?!] 2.75 goats
Blasphemophagher ‎– The III Command Of The Absolute Chaos 3 goats
Proclamation ‎– Advent Of The Black Omen [my favourite out of this lot, which surprised me... i quite like Nether Tombs of Abaddon] 3.5 goats
Kreator - Coma Of Souls [repress/reissue, not for me] 4.5 goats out of 5 goats

It's been a while since I ordered something, but that's because I've been waiting on a parcel for four months that still hasn't come. Anyway, excuse the fuzzy image.

Lustre - Welcome Winter
Lustre - Night Spirit
Deathspell Omega - Fas - Ite, Maledicti, in Ignem Aeternum
Evoken - Shades of Night Descending
Sombres Forêts - Royaume de Glaces

EDIT: Forgot to resize.
EDIT 2: Image resized.

Lol fool, didn't you know it's members of Portal? If you asked me I couldn't told you that you wouldn't like it cause of that reason.

Oh an side note I think I like IR a bit more than Portal... but Portal is giving me new albums and they have only done the one.

 i did know that yeah [i may have briefly forgotten though *cough*] but it's just that it sounds like them too, you know how some bands made up of other band members don't sound like their respective bands?
i got outre the other week and wasn't too impressed with it, i'd like a copy of Seepia though, i really dig that one.

Impetuous Ritual ‎– Relentless Execution Of Ceremonial Excrescence and Portal - Outre could be on my sale/swap list soon
i'll leave them in purgatory for a week or so then have another listen :metal:

Just submitted a "Merry Christmas to Me!" order at SKR. Waiting for the invoice e-mail to see how much shipping is gonna hit me for:

Epic Irae - Dreams and Delusions: 1989-1993
This is the earliest incarnation of the gods we now hail as Quicksand Dream. I only vaguely remember hearing a few Epic Irae demo tracks when I was originally searching for QD samples and immediately thinking "Someone better reissue these". My wish is their command.

Witch Cross - Fit For Fight
I haven't sampled a single moment of this and I'm pretty pumped to have it in my paws. I've heard only really good things.

The Hand of Doom - Poisonoise

A buddy of mine bought this at a show we went to in Chicago and I passed. On the sojourn home I got to hear what a huge mistake that was. Not making it twice. Really weird sometimes proto-ish heavy metal. Not really doom at all but very primitive.

Griffin - Protectors of the Lair
Pretty enamored with their debut, although the production seems really mushy. I figure this is a safe bet. Maybe a little thrashier I guess? Hopefully a raw but punchier guitar tone.

Black Hole - Land of Mystery
Another one where I'm going in completely blind, other than a few people I trust recommending them. Really excited to see what's what here, I'm hoping for a strong occult vibe.

Demon Eyes - Rites of Chaos
A friend recommended it to me (which I just now found out was without hearing them..god damnit) and they have a positive review from Gutterscream who is a fucking genius (I didn't even read it). If they are even remotely as great as High Power or Blaspheme I'm sure this will be money well spent.

EEEEE!

Just came back from the record store and started spinning these:

No Tomorrow - Nuclear Exposure 7" (157/300)
Holy fuck, I love this band. Crust played perfectly--just as good as their material on their split with Oiltanker.

Nocturnal Graves/Hell Spirit - The Gravespirit Sessions split 12"
I hadn't listened to either of these bands a whole hell of a lot prior to now, but the price was right and both of the bands fucking kill it. Recommended.
