An Autumn for Crippled Children - Past Tense

A bit refreshing, after all the old-school stuff I've been listening to.

Gates Of Ishtar - The dawn of flames

Very good example of how the Swedish Black/Death cult is done. Thrilling, catchy and touching without being too kitschy. The keyboards are unnecessary though.

Mors Principium Est - I Will Return
I never bothered too much about this band until just now. But already 3 songs into the album and I think I can go for multiple listens.

Trail of Murder - Shades of Art

Catchy and accesible but damn is this good. Good rocking chorus with excellent vocals.

Really cool. It's somewhere in my top 10, but just unsure where. That opening track is so good.

Ophis - Withered Shades

I like this one better than their debut, Streams of Misery. Nothing too special about it - standard death/doom with some faster sections scattered - but it's competent and is worth hunting down.

On the second last song (One Man Stands) of Anthrax - Persistence Of Time

Damn Joey has a sick voice. He uses a lot of restraint on this one, which adds tension, and payoff when he finally lets loose.

Chocked full with ridiculously catchy riffs, simply awesome. Making a top 10 is going to be really difficult this year, some worthy albums are going to miss out.

Is it just me, or has everyone been listening to Anthrax's Persistence of Time for the last few days?

Triptykon - Eparistera Daimones

This is the perfect cubicle hell workplace background music. Adds some surreal universal love to the environment. Also, this is the second copy of the album I have, the chick who got it for herself didn't like it and gave it to me.
