Are there any bands who play death/doom in the style of Morbid Angel's God of Emptiness? Specifically, I'm looking for songs that are slow-mid paced using rhythmic, muted riffs and that slide guitar sound where they waver from one note to another. The style is most evident during the spoken-word chorus part. Death vocals are preferred, but good cleans are fine.

This band may not have some of the elements you are looking for, but sounds Morbid Angel-ish to me

Not death/doom but this album has some similar parts to God Of Emptiness.

Check out Excommunion. They have a very heavy, crushing sound, and even cover "God of Emptiness" on their one album Superion.

Thanks for the recs all. The crust album was decent, but not really what I'm looking for. And I never thought Nile could pull off playing slow. The Excommunion and Mythological Cold Towers tracks were pretty good, so I'm going to check out the full albums.
