I'm looking for pissed music. Bands being fed up with everything. Angry, pissed stuff, really. And I'm not looking for bands who sing about being pissed, write lyrics about being angry and shit. I'm looking for bands who SOUND pissed and just... done. I don't care for the genre, really.

Eyehategod, Iron Monkey, Pantera (The Great Southern Trendkill, obviously), Superjoint Ritual; that's what I'm talking about. I've heard Arson Anthem and Swans, too.

Any recommendations for me?

Anaal Nathrakh, I don't think you could find anything angrier. They play Grindcore/Black metal with tangible evil, but not in an otherworldly demonic sort of way, it's much more real than that. It's full of human malice, anger, and frustration.

Not much of a black metal fan, and I've never listened to any grindcore to save my life, but...I really enjoyed this. It doesn't come across as grating or annoying (to me) at all. As for the vocals, these are the kind of harsh vocals that need to be more prevalent in black metal, I say.

I listen to plenty of BM, but Anaal Nathrakh is the only one remotely conventional. They're really something, they have a very strong artistic vision that isn't normally found in this area of music. And yeah, Dave Hunt is one of my all-time favorite vocalists. He said AN's music is a reaction to being horrified by the world around them.

Ah, that's better! Not to say "Slow, Deep and Hard" wasn't an angry record (it certainly is, and it also is my favourite TON record), but Pete's efforts with Carnivore's "Retaliation" still leave me speechless, the album is simply physically exhausting.

Second anaal nathrakh, but really only there debut, which is off the charts angry. The albums after that are much more restrained IMO.

Not sure if heavy hardcore punk is your thing, but Trial and Strife are both very pissed bands.

Restrained? Is that possible to say about AN? Could you elaborate?

Don't get me wrong, AN are always balls to the wall fast and pissed. I guess the production and guitar tone on the debut is just more dirty, heavy and caustic, whereas the subsequent albums were cleaner. I always felt like the vocals on the debut were the most inhuman and angry as well, but yes all their albums are very pissed.

I don't think slam or brutal death metal can get any more pissed off than Eternal Suffering.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycnAb4sjAaE

This song hits hard. It builds up and then kicks your teeth down your throat. That feeling should be occuring a LOT more in slamming death metal.

Most early 1980s UK punk/Oi! sounds very pissed off, but mostly not that metal except for maybe the Exploited's "Beat the Bastards" album, which is from the 1990s.

Trap Them - Darker Handcraft has incredibly pissed off vocals; here's Evictionaries from said album.

Misery Index - Traitors is a hugely reactionary album against the sins of the state, church and lawyers for fucking over Joe Blow for money and power; apollogies for the pop-ups and singalong lyrics, here's literally the only video I could find of a favourite off the album, this is Theocracy.

Iskra - Bureval. To this day, Iskra were one of the most visceral black metal bands I've ever seen... and they're more crust than black metal in most cases. Here's Within the Black from said album. The title track is also amazing, but a bit more melodic than this example.

I ultimately tend towards punk-influenced music when I'm in the mood for something angry. The raw aggression is where it's at.

Fukpig is my recommendation. They play a decent fucked up mix of Black Metal and Grindcore with some influences from Punk.

They have quite funny videos as well:

For straight up rage I'd say Xibalba (the hardcore band, not the black metal band), and Agoraphobic Nosebleed.
Xibalba;

AnB;
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3vkeO-GsV8
Side note; why isn't AnB on the archives? Is powerviolence not "metal enough"?

ANb is more grindcore. But not really metal. Their split with Despise You is pretty metal though.
