I never know the word "like" is also non-capitalized. Sorry, am I wrong again?

In this case it is not capitalized since it's used as a preposition. Don't worry, I know it can be confusing. English has a natural tendency for using formally identical words across the whole word class spectrum and letting context disambiguate. I guess "like" is a particularly grave offender. "Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana."

Here's a quick list:

  • 'I Like Turtles' (verb --> capitalized)
  • 'His Like Will Never Be Seen Again' or 'My Likes Include Murders and Executions' (noun --> capitalized)
  • 'Two Guys with Like Minds' (adjective --> capitalized)
  • 'It Looks like Me' (preposition [short] --> not capitalized)
  • 'Nice Things Like Booze and Boobs' (adverb --> capitalized)

Then there's also usages such as "He looks like he doesn't care." where it's technically a (subordinating) conjunction (compare "as if/though") and should be capitalized. And lastly, "He was, like, furious." as a conversational particle. Actually not sure here, I guess capitalized? A fringe phenomenon within the context of composition titles anyway.

Yeah, it's a headache.

Only one modification, but it's a pretty stupid one.

I highly suspect that user Kjetter added some non-existent albums to Helland.

In Helland's page, the releases before 2009 are valid (evidence). But for the latest three releases, I just could not find anything online. No matter what keywords I put in google, the only website that mentions these releases is MA. Even no website mentions the 2012 album Digitalis. In today's information world, can you believe this?

 That username would be referring to me, and I suspect I got under his skin after rejecting his troll submissions. Going by his e-mail address (sistersodomy@gmail.com) and IP address (Maryland), I'd say it's the exact same user as this fuckwit, though the IP addresses don't match up.

Kinda flattering, knowing somebody out there hates you enough to register an account in your name. :D

Not a point-whoring case, but please warn http://www.metal-archives.com/users/atheism (and others) not to change Therion's "Crowning of Atlantis" from Full-length to EP and "A'Arab Zaraq Lucid Dreaming" to Compilation. Both are Full-length albums considered by the band, see official site: http://www.megatherion.com/en/releases (click "albums"). EP can't be 50 minutes long and A'Arab Zaraq is full-length by the band. At the latest interviews Christofer said that Therion now had 15 studio albums which means both of 'em are albums :) Chris's words from the site:

Quote:
"Crowning Of Atlantis was originally meant as a Mini-CD, without the Manowar cover and the live tracks. But the record label wanted more songs and make it into a full-length release, so we gave them one more cover song and the 3 live tracks"

Quote:
Our 10-years anniversary album.

Not only do I own said albums, I actually provided some of the lyrics for the latter two. I can't claim to remember much about the history behind the King of Clubs release (the first of the three albums you are asking about), other then what I have already entered in the archive, but the two latest albums were released more or less simultaneously under the name Trond Helland; one being somewhat of a "B-side" compilation of recent unreleased tracks (Black Garbage) and the other being his more serious effort (Digitalis). If I wasn't so god damn lazy I would have scanned and uploaded the artwork for them when I entered the information originally.

If needed I still have the releases in my house, at the very least the two most recent ones. I also have the instrumental versions of most of the songs I provided lyrics for on my computer, as well as the lyrics themselves as they were originally written.

The reason why nothing is to be found online is probably because they are poorly distributed non-metal releases by a tiny Norwegian one man band. Though I can't speak for the artist directly, I assume he simply does not have a proper network for advertising and distributing the newer material, seeing as it is entirely different from his earliest efforts. Afaik he is currently working towards a more "easily digested" pop effort, still under the name Trond Helland.

So could you please scan or photograph them and upload them here? Otherwise it's difficult for me believe it. Moreover the scans would provide solid evidence and prevent the issue from being brought up by someone else.

Seriously, is it so incredibly unlikely, given the size of this site and the recognition it has, that in some cases the initial information surfaces here? And even if this was an attempt at whoring, wouldn't it be an immensely elaborate way to do so, with very little reward in it for me?

But now that the question has been posed; of course I will provide what proof I can. Here you go, scans for you; pretty crap ones, but I guess that is what I get when I buy a crap scanner. You'll notice this is only the latter two of the three albums, as I can't find the third in my mess. If need be I can probably get the artist to personally confirm them all.

This user has been making multiple changes to band logos, as his modification history shows. Plenty of worthwhile edits in there, but he seems to have changed every band logo more than once (with different timestamps too), and Moonblood's logo is now a photo of a fucking pin rather than the clear image of the band's logo. Plenty of legit edits in there too.

This user is adding future releases that haven't been finalized, and is now reporting corrections in albums that haven't been released yet. Perhaps it's not for points, but it is improperly adding a lot of invalid information to the site and requires a mod to clean up some of it.
http://www.metal-archives.com/users/mengele_todesengel

http://www.metal-archives.com/report/vi ... 8/show/all
http://www.metal-archives.com/report/vi ... 9/show/all

His own Facebook page still lists some of the releases he added as "TBA" and "in the works".
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Peisitha ... 66?sk=info

Additional notes of the releases are poorly formatted and have a lot of links to web pages with the band's music, but the actual contents of the "albums" doesn't seem to be consistent nor finalized.

You might ask korguell to re-read the rules about incomplete demos/albums

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ab ... od!/358169

If the titles of 2 tracks are unknown, then the demo should not be added if I recall correctly

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ni ... 011/359126

Another user adding random line-up "sludge_fck89"

Jon Ransom - Bass, Vocals (Drums), simply copied it from the line-up. If he played drums on the demo, then the brackets should be removed

Same for the other demo

http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Ni ... Hag/343934

I doubt Jon Ransom played drums since there was another drummer

i doubt the tracklist is correct. it seems that he only took the songs uploaded to myspace for it (also the date).
(also the other album submitted by him looks a bit suspicious)

Not exactly point whoring, but http://www.metal-archives.com/users/Viral is uncapitalizing the word "is" in album and song titles.

Can you ask the idiot called oriffs

1) to stop adding the links to his distro everywhere ... he's not an official merchandise distributor, only a common distro

2) why the f*** he added links to labels in ADDITIONAL NOTES for many bands: Karne for example and also links to MALTKROSS on several bands (see his update history), I checked a few and could not find proofs that those bands are signed or released something on this label

Wow, I thought this guy was banned long time ago, he was spamming with his links back in v1. I've sent him a critical warning. Go ahead and delete his links.

Not point-whoring, but... SpectralBlasphemy added an album and linked the band's name in the additional notes; someone should message him and tell him that's unnecessary.
