Anyone know of any good Japanese music that uses Japanese lyrics and not English. The main styles I prefer it to be in are black metal(I know that's a Chinese band just using it for style reference), this type of post-hardcore / screamo stuff that I've seen a lot of, shoegaze. which I've seen a lot of Japanese bands do, I really like the dreaminess and the female vocals, and of course everyone's favorite genre, J-Pop, It doesn't have to be extremely "girly" or "sugary", it can also be regular stuff like this.

Are you looking for stuff in just those genres, or anything with Japanese lyrics? Just about everything I know that has Japanese lyrics is power metal (i.e. Dragon Guardian, Area51, Versailles, Galneryus etc.) All the other bands I follow have English lyrics. Since you like a lot of Japanese stuff I probably should mention the Princess Ghibli albums. A collaboration of a handful of bands to do Ghibli cover songs.

The vocals are in Japanese even though most of the artists aren't.

Oops, yeah should have clarified, I'm mainly looking for stuff in the genres I mentioned, never really been to into power metal and the like, thanks for those recs though.

Ooh, those were good samples. I've heard of MotFD before and I've seen them coupled alongside Midori for recommendations but I always found Midori's vocals a little obnoxious. Thanks!
