Hello. While i've asked this 2 or 3 times in the appropriate thread, I've never gotten a response. So I thought maybe people who don't frequent the drone/ambient thread might offer their help here.

I'm looking for bands like The Angelic Process and Nadja. Particularly the more emotional, overpowering, and sadder stuff. Real drums are a plus, female vocals or similarly ethereal vocals are a must.

Wish I could help, but I only recently discovered The angellic Process, and it is officially the first "drone" band I actually like despite giving several other bands of this style a listen.

Strange to me that they dont have a page on the archives? I thought I read that the man killed himself or something?

Since they mix drone with shoegaze it isn't a big surprise they're not here. The guy from the band (it was him and his wife) broke his hand pretty bad, to the point where he couldn't play anymore. The "official" version of events is that he got depressed because of that and that he killed himself because he couldn't live along without being able to play.

I can't recommend anything good because I'm not an expert when it comes to drone.

This may not be exactly what your looking for, but I would recommend leviathan's "silhouette in splinters" for some unique and intriguing ambient. His other albums are more black metal

There that band, Echoes of Yul, which are capable of writing some emotional songs such as this one:

Try also the album of Methadrone when they gave up Indus and went shoegaze:

I see why you've recommended these, but they're not quite there. Methadrone's a bit too simple and subdued and Echoes of Yul have some cool parts but are a bit too thin sounding. I'll have to give Echoes... a bit more time.
