Since I missed out on Dagor Dagorath yesterday, I set my sights on a South Korean black metal CD. Just won it now!

Kalpa - The Path of the Eternal Years

Brand spankin' new, and 99 cents!

Listened to some songs off the MySpace. Sounds like an Asian Burzum, which is awesome

It's a Live Bootleg, found on a flea market for 3 Euros.
The cool thing is that the red Savatage Logo is engraved in the Jewel Case like in the first pressings of Enslaved's Frost or Immortal's Blizzard Beasts...
Oh, and i especially like the last song, "Quitter Ballet" :-P

Thanks!
The 12 CDs from the first two pictures are from a friend who stopped collecting a few years ago. He still loves the music but has lost interest in collecting and just uses YouTube nowadays. All his CDs are in random (not even closed) boxes flying around in the attic of the house he lives in, all covered with an inch of dust and mixed up with the stuff of his neighbours. Can you imagine this, tons of great stuff, from Running Wild to Burzum, from Nightwish to Absurd, from Bathory to Whitesnake, hundreds of great CDs just lying forgotten in a chaotic attic? A nightmare for every collector, my heart cries whenever i see this, so i slowly buy at least everything that i haven't in my collection to save some of them. If i would have the money i would instantly buy everything and resell the duplicates, but... I also suggested him to sell them, but he lacks the time (and motivation) to do so...
The CDs from Picture 3+4 are Ebay scores, flea market- or 2nd hand store finds.

Ugh, my heart would fail me if I ever witnessed something like that. Still, you can get some nice stuff this way.

Ah, wicked. Thanks.

And yeah, that attic situation sounds like a metalhead's version of a Lovecraftian horror.

Thanks, just ordered a copy

Ordering from these independent distributors always makes me a little anxious, but for 17 dollars, it's worth it for this album on CD. I convince myself the worst that can happen is I lose the almost 20 bucks I earn a week for keeping my dishes I leave around the house picked up every week :P

Btw does anyone know if that rippikoulu reissue is still available on CD?

Just ordered Buried Beneath - The last rays of the moon. Blackened death metal from the united states. Finally I found a decently priced copy of this CD!

Can't seem to find it anywhere, maybe on a US distro. But then again only 1000 copies where made so chances are you're late to the party.

Dude, stop worrying, Pest Productions are highly reliable and a well-respected label. They're the people who are releasing the freaking thing after all, common sense says it's a legit place to buy it from. I got my copy of :tahoma: not too long ago. I had pre-ordered it since it was first-announced.

yesterday being the sabbath, i went to feed the coffers at my local music shop

BXI ‎– Boris & Ian Astbury [cool ep, had my eye on it for a few months ha ha usually i dislike boris' vocals but yeah this is cool]
Celtic Frost ‎– Monotheist [another thailand licensed cd like the majesty and decay i got recently...]
Intronaut ‎– Valley Of Smoke [us version]
Intronaut - Void [this looks like a budget cdr but the printed side looks pro printed?! see the bootleg thread]
Oysterhead ‎– The Grand Pecking Order [digipak, promo version, i have 2 versions now and the promo ep too]

these were all gamble purchases, fingers crossed that they don't suck! [pre listen comment] *post listen comment*

Bad Wizard ‎– Free And Easy [i got it because it's on tee pee, i have high hopes, the lettering looks like it says bro wizard ha ha!] *not bad, the singer sounds a bit like buck cherry?*
Body Count ‎– There Goes The Neighborhood [4 song maxi single i like body count, so piss off :p ] *no surprises here*
Cuda - Hellfire [ep, big orange amp/green amp picture on the cover, the band members have cool names like spanky and cooter brown] *wicked! sounds like fu manchu/kyuss/sasquatch/melvins/high on fire and core, i immediately want to play this again, dudes this fucking rules!*
Fang - Live Cheap CD [apparently hardcore/punk, coolest skull logo ever 8X ] *too punk for me and a pity the singer keeps talking about his prison sentence on stage...*
Gravehill ‎– Metal Of Death/The Advocation Of Murder And Suicide [metal of death?! could be good] *pretty solid thrashy black deathly metal*
Kill Me Quickly [self titled maxi ep, promise of bloodshed are on the same label 'jailbait' they're both kiwi bands] *they play in a similar style of deathcore i suppose*
Wanted Inc. [The Wanted] - The Scarcollector [one of the dudes in the photo has a poweslave t-shirt] *awful, it was the only one i couldn't actually finish*

Swamp Zombies ‎– A Frenzy Of Music And Action! [not even remotely metal, i got it because it's old and apparently their cds aren't that common]

They're all CDs. 'Out of Order' is the 1991 Combat Records version, and 'Survive' is the 1988 I.R.S. Metal release. I'm wondering if this copy of 'Survive' is rare, now that I look at it.... Any idea?
