As you might've noticed, I emphasized the word "music" here, because genre really isn't a question in my search, and I have a very open mind to almost any genre of music. I'm looking for music with lyrics about, pertaining to, or using as metaphors, space, chemistry, or physics. Yes, I've heard of Darkspace, but I'm not looking for clones of their style. Even though genre isn't a factor in my search, I've come to enjoy better-produced music than that. It doesn't have to be perfect modern production, but something "listenable" should do. If you're having doubts, list it anyways.

Edit: To clarify, "space" in this case refers to:
Space (doh!)
Sci-Fi
Aliens
Other planets
Anything related to space (spaceships, etc)
and more...

Please note that, being this a lyrical theme request, vocals that can be understood would help. Clean vocals are a plus. Goregrind vocals are pretty much the only thing I can't understand; along with a few black metal squeals.

You also might notice this is my third rec thread in less than a month. I've been hungry for new music.

You might have heard of them, but have you tried the Spanish brutal death metal band Wormed?

Lyrics from "Dehydrating" wrote:
Thermonuclear zone of polidium

Burning
All surface contaminating the plagued planet
Reflections, pollution, Hexagonal eggs contain...
Lowering creatures

Wrapped up in the destiny of ice methane
The fire has been paralysed by the eclipse

I'll dehydrate this planet

Now I have the opportunity to escape
Protecting the unalterable ego
I'll dehydrate, this planet

My weapons are impelled
for supernatural forces

These doesn't serve with the insects
I should use the energy of this planet
in order to overheat it
Creating a tunnel of ions
To arrive to the nucleus
I'll dehydrate this planet

Absorbing the atmosphere completely
In abstract astral plane hairspring of energy

I'll dehydrate this planet
In that hell should be hot...

I'll dehydrate this planet this planet I'll dehydrate

In abstract astral plane hairspring of energy
The creatures are making a strange metamorphosis

A lost culture becomes insect...

EDIT: There's also the old-school prog-death band Crystal Age: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTp93DxUJbQ

The lyrics are perfect. The music is amazing.

The goregrind vocals?

Cool, but if I'm suggesting lyrical themes, it might help to be able to understand them. I can understand most types of growling and screaming, just not goregrind D:

Great rec though. I'll clarify in my OP.

Mars On Earth - Mars On Earth

It's a four-track EP, from a band that claimed to have come from Mars.

I recommended the Gustav Holst piece "Mars, Bringer of War" in another thread, in here I can recommend the entire "The Planets" composition, it is, as the name says, about our solar system's planets. Here's the link to the Mars piece:

Uhm, are Hypocrisy too obvious?
also Rings of Saturn

I'm not really a fan of sci-fi 'nd space, so these two are the only ones I can come up with.

The Byrds-Fifth Dimension
Somewhat like early UFO, but less spacey and more science-y.

I suppose Origin and "Spheres"-Pestilence are obvious ones.

Also, Detest's "Dorval" is a sci-fi themed concept album.

If you're into GWAR (which I certainly am) check out "Lust in Space", it's pretty good fun.

Probably because they sound like everything non-metal about Devin Townsend mixed with Periphery. I agree, though, they're quite nice.

Most if not all of the Ayreon albums are sci-fi "space operas."

Also, look up "Cygnus X-1" by Rush. This is a two-part song split across two albums ("A Farewell to Kings" and "Hemispheres").

Vintersorg! 'Cosmic Genesis', 'Visions from the Spiral Generator', and 'The Focusing Blur' are what you need my friend. Absolutely brilliant stuff. Agent Steel are obsessed with aliens, and they kick massive ass. Demilich are a strange death metal band that have some sci-fi/bizarre themes. You should listen to them on principle, because they rule. Have fun.
